Oh my goodness I can’t believe I forget this but, going back to the “Dead Canon Characters” anon – Liza from Johto (the one who lives in Charizard Valley) is also dead. She passed away shortly after giving birth to her and Lance’s daughter, Noelle, due to unexpected complications.
There are also two very minor deceased canon characters. The first is Nita’s late wife, Elise, who was a character of the day from the XY series (she was the granddaughter of the woman who owned the mansion and had an Espurr). I don’t have the specifics for her death, though it was most likely an accident of some kind. Mostly I just liked the idea of Nita as a rich widow. The other is the late husband of Hugh’s sister, Fiona, who… sort of counts as a canon character? He’s based on one of the Aspertia Gym Trainers seen in BW2 called Pedro, so technically exists as a character in the games. He passed away due to a work accident.
