Fankidtober Day 7 – It’s Myrtle! Everyone’s favorite coffee-addicted, cynical, genius, Faller, science-experiment-who-herself-is-a-scientist!
Myrtle is the sort-of adopted/sort-of just taken in daughter of Colress and Faba (which means that Colress found her and decided to keep her and Faba had to just deal with a kid being around. She became the only child he tolerates since she was basically a miniature adult from the getgo). She’s also Colress’s biological daughter, but also sort of not really since she’s actually a Faller. Her homeworld is the one RR Ghetsis came from, so she’s from a Unova that was taken over by Team Plasma. While studying genetics in relation to Kyurem, her world’s Colress got a bit bored and decided to play around with human DNA to see what he could make in the lab, and then get a little lab assistant out of the experiment – a win-win! So he used SCIENCE to combine his own, Ghetsis’s and one of the Shadow Triads’ (specifically Dara/Cilan) genetic information to make test-tube baby Myrtle. She grew up helping him with his research once she was old enough to no longer just be experimented on herself, but during a lab accident fell through a wormhole into L&L Alola, where she was discovered by the Colress there. She then continued her life mostly as it had been before, just as a scientist for Aether rather than Plasma, where she continues to work as a teenager during the main plot! She focuses her study on wormholes and UBs, hoping to find some way to mitigate the negative effects of interdimensional travel, as losing her memories was quite inconvenient for her. She also still assists Colress and Faba with their own work if they need an extra hand.
