Notes:

  • Rosemary has a bit of an obsession aliens and cryptids stemming from a supposed Close Encounter she had at the Glitter Lighthouse when she was young. She often drags her traveling companion, Carmen, into trying to hunt for mythical pokémon or aliens which she wants Carmen to try and study. (Carmen would rather write her Junior Researcher papers on actually proven to exist pokémon thank you.)
  • Due to their rare status and similarity to a certain cryptid, Rosemary has no less than three Dunsparce on her team, one of which is shiny. (She later gives one to Carmen, however.)
  • Rosemary’s brother, Thyme, has a strong interest in ghosts and the paranormal and the two of them often argue over whether ghosts or aliens/cryptids are ‘cooler’. The one place their interests overlap is a love of supposed ‘cursed’ or ‘mystery’ spots where many people tend to go missing. Though they have their own theories for why such places get their reputations!
  • Rosemary started her journey as a trainer, though eventually began entering contests instead as she enjoyed showing off the beauty and coolness of her pokémon.
  • Rosemary’s outfit color scheme was inspired by Jasmine’s EX color scheme in PokéMas. The blue and grey reminded me of Cress a bit so it felt fitting!
  • Gingerbread is one of my fave rarepairs/nevermet ships so super happy I got the chance to draw one of their kids finally.
