Fankidtober Day 6: Melchior (& Hoopa)

Notes:
- Mel is following in the traditions of his family and learning how to care for Hoopa and practice his magic (and learn some martial arts from Marshal since good to have all your bases covered). He’s maybe one of my few actively religious in the traditional sense fankids, which is understandable considering his family gets their magic powers from their faith in Arceus (while it’s never expanded on much in the movie I get very RPG cleric/paladin type vibes from the concept which I love so much it’s the whole reason Mel exists tbh.)
- Like both his parents, Melchior is fairly serious and is often teased by his aunt the same way she teased his father. Hoopa, of course, also loves to play pranks on him which Mel really hates. Hoopa always tries to cheer him up with a joke or prank, which then makes Mel angrier, so it’s a bit of a cycle, but he’s still just a kid so their relationship will improve in time.
- While he’s still a bit too young to go on a journey, Hoopa sometimes uses its rings to bring Melchior along on “vacations” to faraway regions. Mel often starts out complaining when Hoopa does this, but will end up fascinated by wherever they ended up, fueling his desire to properly travel the world when he’s older. (Though his parents aren’t as fond of the habit Hoopa seems to have picked up of spiriting their son away to who knows where!)
