Fankidtober Day 22: Kazusa

Starter Pokémon: Pachirisu (Though is likely to get a Hisuian Form Pokémon or new evolution if a cool ice or electric type one is revealed)
Notes:

  • Kazusa is the daughter and oldest child of the Youkai Lord of the North, the ice dragon Kaihyou, and Harunari, a human exorcist (albeit one with very strong lightning magic) who was turned into Zapdos in the Pokémon-world-equivalent of the Heian Period before being turned back in modern times. So she has an interesting pedigree for sure. She mainly grew up in Kaihyou’s home in the youkai realm, but visits Kanto pretty frequently as Harunari’s friends (mainly Soumei, but also Madoka, Yukihiko and Shouju) live there.
  • Pokémon are rare in the youkai realm but Kazusa has been smitten with Harunari’s Raichu from a young age, so he was the one who gave her her Pachirisu as a present. She doesn’t really battle or anything, so her partner is more of a pet and can be quite spoiled.
  • Kazusa loves fashion and is a huge fan of the work Youko (Erika & Valerie’s daughter) does. She often drags her friends (Kanade, Souken, and Kagerou) shopping with her when she’s visiting the human world.
  • While she looks serious and can come across as emotionless, Kazusa is in reality quite easily flustered and shy. She has a creative side, enjoying drawing and sketching the world around her and people she meets, or just using her imagination. While they’ve never met or anything, Kazusa is a fan of the doujins that Nasuka draws, especially since the older girl is also a half-dragon like her.
  • Kazusa and her friends are sort of distanced from the other fankids and form their own “supernatural” group who have their own plotline that is mostly self-contained. It’s similar for their parents for whom their life in the modern era is really their “happy epilogue” after the bulk of their adventures 1000 years ago before they became the Legendary Birds (and Ho-oh and Lugia). Which is also sorta a transmigration/au/something involving svsss characters that started as a loose template to help me develop this group but then turned serious the more I thought about it so I feel like that gives away who she’s really a fankid of doesn’t it.
