Notes:
- Myka is one of my fankids who’s a reincarnation (in this verse, meaning he retains all memories of his past life). In his previous life, he was the husband of the first king of Unova, Coren, who later became the original dragon that Reshiram and Zekrom were created from. Reborn into modern times, Myka learns that those who had been turned into legendary pokémon have now turned back, but thanks to Aubin and Merula merging with their own dragons, who had been created from the original dragon, it meant that they also had parts of Coren in them now as well. Coren’s body was restored, but he’s been in a coma and nobody’s entirely sure how to restore him. Myka has made it his life’s goal to find a way to save his beloved and get their happy ending and long life together they were originally denied.
- In order to achieve this, Myka has spent his life studying the DNA splicers, trying to find a way to modify them so that not only will they work on humans rather than legendary dragons, but also so that both the parts of Reshiram and Zekrom can be restored to Coren. He’s entirely willing to use sketchy methods to obtain leads in his research, such as contacting former Plasma scientists now in hiding who studied the splicers when they were in the team’s possession.
- Myka travels with Glenn and Janus and the three of them are honestly a disaster trio. Myka and Glenn are both very surly and aggressive and have limited senses of danger or morality while Janus is just a complete wildcard who usually only enables them. They’re… somehow making their journey work without getting into too many disasters.
- Due to both being a reincarnation and his single minded focus on his goal, Myka is somewhat distant with his parents. Deep down he loves them as much as they love him, but he’s never been good at expressing himself and is afraid of getting too attached. That said, there are moments of heartfelt bonding he has with them, such as training his (thankfully pretty weak/easy to control) psychic powers with Caitlin or being taught how to swim by Marlon.
