Have had some new ideas tonight which means time to trim some kids I’ve been struggling with. They might still exist just offscreen or be reworked and reintroduced later we’ll see.
Addie & Eddie (Karen/Will)
These two are probably the biggest as I’ve drawn them both and they even have profiles but beyond what’s on those I just have no idea how they fit in with the rest of the Johto cast and have been kinda dreading working with them which is always a bad sign. I’ve had some ideas for new Johto kids so it just felt right to let these two go. Perry can stay since despite being made later he has more development RIP, but I’ll most likely rework the twins into a new fankid so Perry has just one younger sib. Probably taking more after Eddie?
Caleb (Flannery)
He had some development as a friend of Amethyst’s, but not much else. What I did have was pretty outdated, so for now he’s going to be removed from the lists. Once I develop Ame more he might return if I feel like he’ll fit in, but we’ll just have to see.
Eria (Greta/Liza)
She definitely still exists in the background but I’m struggling with her cousins Laelia and Tris as it is so she’s very low priority right now. Will also maybe, likely, be added back once I figure out her Hoenn age group a bit better.
Cassia (Sorrel/Alder –> Sorrel/Lawrence III)
Her melodrama filled origin story was fun but hers is another family with not enough development and she always felt a bit tricky to fit in. She might be later reintroduced as a Sorrel/Lawrence kid however. Either an older or younger sister to Loren.
Fortune (Butler/Diane)
TLDR there are other movie character fankids with much more development than her and I might be making a new Sinnoh movie kid so… as with the others she might return, especially since I love Felix so would want to do something with them as cousins. She definitely exists still in the background.
Lavern & Carola (Toren/Dulse)
Added on a whim because I was in a Dulse mood that’s about it. They have zero development so I’m just going to gently take them back to the drawing board for now. Maybe they’ll get resurrected someday when I actually know what to do with them… I have too many Unova kids anyways.
Chrys (Kiawe/Sophocles)
Zero development and only one in his age range in the region made him just… not fit in. Sorry Kiele you’d be a good big sis but this just isn’t happening right now. Maybe if another younger Alola kid manifests he’ll come back but otherwise probably not.
