I have not actually played any fangames, but even if I had, I have more than enough canon material to keep this AU thriving! I already have over 250 fankids after all!

MarrisonShipping?
How they first met: They first met when Alain was on his pokemon journey. Mairin, frustrated that she was too young to go on a journey (being only 11 years old), decides to run away from home with her friend Chespie and go on an adventure just the two of them. However, she ended up getting lost on Route 12 only one night after leaving her home of Coumarine. Alain, who was making his way to Shalour from Coumarine ends up stumbling across her looking dejected and asks if she needs help. Mairin initially claims she’s fine, but Alain is an older brother and he can tell that she’s clearly in distress, so he keeps pressing and she eventually admits she’s a lost runaway. Alain had made the mistake of saying where he was headed, so Mairin says she’s from Shalour and not Coumarine, so Alain ends up taking her with him on the rest of the Route. Once they arrive, Mairin ends up spilling that he’d actually taken her farther from home. She refuses to tell Alain where she really lives, so he resigns himself to taking her with him on his journey so she doesn’t get into trouble.
Where their first date was: After Alain returns Mairin home on the end of his journey, they don’t actually see each other for another four years. Mairin would send the occasional email, but they didn’t really keep in touch. When Mairin goes on her own journey, the year after Team Flare is defeated, Alain is already a member of the Elite Four (replacing Malva), so she ends up challenging him once she reaches the League. After she manages to defeat him, Alain’s impressed by how capable a trainer she’s become since they last met. After this they keep more regularly in touch, and over time feelings begin to bloom. Where the line between good friends and dating actually happened is hard to place, but their first proper date took place when Mairin was 19 and Alain was 23. Alain had recently become Kalos Champion and Mairin just had to invite him out to a fancy dinner to celebrate. They had just recently confessed their feelings for each other, so this was their first ‘official’ date.
When they had their first kiss: Their first kiss was right before Alain became Champion. He had already gone through most of the work, all he had left was one last ceremonial battle against Diantha to seal the deal. Before he heads out to face her, Mairin leans up and pulls him down for a quick kiss. “For luck!” she quickly says before pushing him towards the door. Alain is so flustered he’s worried he won’t be able to focus… but knowing that the girl he’s had a crush on for the past few months likes him back turns out to be good motivation to win.
Who cooks: Both are pretty busy being Champion and a Gym Leader, but they try to have family dinners as much as they can. Mairin isn’t a great cook but if she focuses very hard on following the recipe she can usually make something decent. Alain is pretty good at cooking himself and usually makes more traditional Kalosian meals.
Who proposed: Alain, about two years after they started dating.
The dominant one: Both, in their own way. Mairin often pushes Alain into trying new things, while Alain will help curb some of Mairin’s more reckless ideas..
Their favorite pastime together: Perhaps due to the way they met, but definitely due to their mutual interest, they love to go hiking together. It’s harder for them to find time off after Mairin becomes a Gym Leader, but when they can they’ll head out for a nice walk in nature. They’ll bring Margot along as well once she’s born – in a backpack at first but walking along with them when she’s older.
Who kissed who first: Mairin kissed Alain.
Who is the flirt: Alain is not really the flirty type at all, while Mairin will sometimes teasingly flirt with him just since his reactions are funny.
Who is the romantic: They’re both quite romantic, though in different ways. Alain isn’t necessarily a traditional romantic, but he is very dedicated in showing his affection for his wife in his words and actions. Mairin is more traditionally romantic and likes going on regular dates and the like.
Who wakes up first: Both have to get up pretty early for work, but while Alain has no issue with this, Mairin tends to complain most mornings, not being a morning person at all.
Who comforts who the most: Alain is prone to bottling up his feelings, especially relating to his past concerning Lysandre and Team Flare. While it’s something he moves past with time, it does still bother him, so Mairin ends up comforting him when he’s feeling bothered by it. Mairin tends to be fairly positive overall, able to move past things with relative ease, but she likes it when Alain dotes on her so will often go to him for comfort even when her problem is only minor.
The cuddler: Mairin.
The big spoon: Alain.
What would happened if Grimsley did gave Hymnia to fulfill the bet?
Nothing good that’s for sure.
However, it would have been nearly impossible for things to get to that point. Grimsley’s sister, Diana, was already very suspicious of her brother’s motives. Despite saying that he was going to be giving his baby up for adoption, he was cagey about the exact details of what agency he was working with and about the situation in general. If he hadn’t come to her first asking for help, Diana would have pressed her brother for information until he spilled. In this case, things would just progress roughly the same way they do in ‘canon’, with Grimsley going to Alola for about a year to help get his life in order while Hymnia is raised by her aunt and mother.
In the very slight chance that Grimsley did manage to give her away he would very likely regret his actions enough to ask for help then. Champion Iris would likely get involved and, as in ‘canon’, the criminal ring would have been apprehended and Hymnia would have been tracked down and rescued. In this scenario, it’s possible that Grimsley might not ever get full custody of her, in which case Hymnia would be raised by Shauntal, or at least her father would have taken more time to help himself than the year he does in ‘canon.’
If somehow all of these scenarios didn’t happen and Hymnia was permanently sold off to fulfill her father’s bet however, then she likely would have suffered a terrible fate. Many people want to use mages for nefarious ends and, as a baby essentially sold on the black market, she could have ended up dead, raised to a be tool and used for her powers, or any other number of grim fates. In all likelihood however, this wouldn’t have happened. There are too many factors that prevented Grimsley from giving her up, from his own conscience to the interference of his family, so in the end anything that could have happened to her is just speculation. It’s something Hymnia thinks about on occasion, but since she avoided that fate she tends not to dwell on it.
Who are Keagan and Kantele (Keith/Kate and Kellyn/Rhythmi’s kids respectively)?
[This content is out of date and no longer canon (All Ranger fankids were cut)]
I’m going to confess that my Pokemon Ranger fankids are all really underdeveloped as a whole, but I’ll share what I do have for these two.
Keagan – A hotshot young Ranger who wants to follow in his parents’ footsteps and become a famous Top Ranger one day. He’s impatient, boastful, and often overconfident, but his heart’s in the right place and he really does wish to help people and pokemon with his work. His partner pokemon is a Shinx who is just as eager as her ranger and has a habit of going a bit wild with her thunder bolts during (and outside of) assists. Keagan is stationed at the Vientown Ranger Base currently. He has Keith’s auburn hair and Kate’s blue eyes. I chose the name Keagan so he could have a ‘K’ name like both his parents. Keagan means "descendant of Aodhagán", which itself means “little fire”, suiting his fiery personality.
Kantele – Also an ambitious young Ranger, but much more reserved than her rival Keagan. Kantele believes that with a calm demeanor and plenty of determination she’ll be able to become a Top Ranger before he does. At the same time, her reservation can also lead to hesitation and she can spend too much time figuring out a plan instead of acting and waste precious moments in an emergency. In truth, she and Keagan compliment each other well and are often paired for missions even if both of them hate this. Her partner pokemon is a Chatot who likes to drive Keagan mad by mimicking him. Her hair is light brown, a shade in-between her parents’ colors, and she has Kellyn’s blue eyes. She is named after a traditional Finnish string instrument both to match the ‘K’ theme of Kellyn’s name and the ‘music’ theme of Rhythmi’s name.
Updated Family Tree
I have created… something.
Something dangerous.
I didn’t think it would get this bad but…. anon who wanted me to make family trees I hope you’re happy with this twisted monstrosity.
I’ve added a Character Songs section to the profiles. There’s not much at the moment but expect periodic/sporadic updates.
Lee/Carmen and Trias/Rosemary would make good couples.
(This was sent before I changed Lee’s name to Souji, but I’ll be referring to him as Souji in this post since it’s his new name, just fyi.)
Souji/Carmen – The old ‘dating your best friend’s brother’ relationship on Carmen’s end. Joking aside, this ship does have some really good potential. Souji is outgoing and cheerful, which would contrast nicely with Carmen who is a bit more introverted. He’d be the type to ‘sweep her off her feet’ and make her laugh with all his puns. It would be a very sweet and cutesy romance, I think, since both of them are very nice and sweet people. Souji is also pretty outdoorsy and active, so he’d love to come with Carmen on her trips to study wild pokemon in the field. Carmen would also love how Souji is a good cook and be happy to eat anything he makes for her (be it just since he felt like it or if he wants her to try out a new dish.) This relationship is also viable since the two both end up staying in Johto, Souji eventually taking over his mother’s Gym, while Carmen wouldn’t mind sticking closer to home. So I suppose this one might end up being endgame!
Trias/Rosemary – This one I’m a bit iffier on. The main issue for me is that Rosemary eventually ends up living in Unova, while Trias stays in Hoenn. As such, even if they did date, it would have to mean Trias coming to live in Unova despite his dislike of travel, or them somehow trying to make long distance work (which for them, I can’t see happening.) Personality-wise I’m not too sure either. Rosemary is quite intense and questioning, always looking for adventure and getting swept up in the moment, whereas Trias kind of hates stepping outside his comfort zone. Maybe there’s an ‘opposites attract’ appeal here that could work if the two of them had more reason to get to know each other, but as things are, they likely don’t know each other more than in passing (I don’t even know if Rosemary and Carmen travel to Hoenn in the first place) and don’t really have any reason to get to know each other further.
So what’s the story behind Brendan, Wally and Anabel’s threesome relationship and how strong their relationship are?
[This content is out of date and no longer canon (This ship is no longer canon)]
Following the events of ORAS, Wally decided to hone his skills as a trainer so he wouldn’t keep lagging behind May. He ended up spending a lot more with Brendan as a result, often asking the other boy to help him train or offer advice. Over time, Brendan began to develop feelings for the sweet and determined Wally, but was always too embarrassed to confess, despite May’s continual encouragement. Eventually, Wally and May both get jobs at the Hoenn Battle Frontier as Frontier Brains, which is where Wally first meets Anabel. The two hit it off and eventually start dating, much to Brendan’s chagrin.
While he knows he should move on, he can’t help but want to still spend time with Wally and has a bad case of pining. He’ll go visit the Battle Frontier and just stare wistfully, but feels like he can’t hang out with Wally anymore since he’s afraid he’ll end up spilling his feelings and making Wally feel bad. He just doesn’t know what to do. May eventually gets fed up with the situation and tells Wally and Anabel why Brendan is always hanging around. The couple end up having a discussion about how to best talk to Brendan about the situation, since even his best friend May can’t seem to help. It’s at this point that Wally confesses that he too had feelings for Brendan but had been afraid to confess, not that it changes how much he loves Anabel of course!
After these revelations, Anabel ends up thinking a lot about the situation. She loves Wally, but she hates to see him upset and torn about this situation. She probably would have been mad at Brendan if he had been trying to ‘win Wally back from her’ or something, but he’s clearly doing his best to respect their relationship despite his feelings, which she finds pretty admirable. Plenty of others wouldn’t be so courteous. And now that she thinks more about it… Brendan is a strong trainer, smart, she’s heard nothing but good things about him from Wally and May, and he’s not bad looking to top it all off. If Wally and Brendan really do still have feelings for each other (on top of Wally’s feelings for her), then why can’t they solve the whole problem by just all dating each other?
She proposes this solution to Wally who is a bit surprised at the idea, but they agree to ask Brendan if he would be okay trying out this kind of relationship. Brendan is just shocked that he’s even getting this chance and agrees. Over time, they find that this dynamic really works for them. They all love each other and are all happy with their relationship. Wally eventually retires from his Frontier Brain position to take over the Petalburg Gym from Norman, while Brendan becomes a professor like his father. Between three busy jobs and the four children they end up having, there’s certainly never a dull moment in their household, but they wouldn’t have it any other way.
May, meanwhile, likes to smugly take credit for facilitating all of this.
Gacha Life Adventures Part 2
The Detective Trio aka the Sherlock Holmes Expy Crew.
The direct rivals and ‘counterparts’ of the Crime Trio, the Detective Trio solve mysteries using mostly more aboveground methods, erring on the side of the law moreso than using any means necessary (though this is debatable for Hymnia.)

Hymnia Montfort (RolandShipping). Aka ‘Sherlock’. She’s the only one of these six who has a profile so I don’t have much to add here. I’m sad I couldn’t do her hair spikes justice in the app.

Penelope Tracy-Cooke (MakeOrBreakShipping). Aka ‘Watson’. She acts as Hymnia’s common sense. A medical student who is currently getting some field experience patching up her two friends who seem to attract dangerous situations. Levelheaded and calm, Penelope is able to analyze a situation and find the best course of action in seconds. And not only is she the most sensible of the Detective Trio, she’s also the best cook of the three (amusingly, given her name.)

Nanala Yukimori (MeowthShipping). Aka ‘Lestrade’. The actual law enforcement of the trio, Nanala is an eager young Interpol agent who isn’t afraid to bend the rules to solve a case. While she’s a skilled agent, she also has a tendency to be overeager and jump to conclusions. Hymnia will deride her theories as ‘silly’ and ‘conspiratorial’, but Nanala is firm in helping out with their investigations using Interpol resources whenever she can.
I discovered Gacha Life the other day.
Made some fankiddos.
First up…. the Crime Trio (creative name, I know.) They all have at least one parent who was deeply involved with Team Plasma and they all do crime. Mostly ‘fancy/whitecollar’ stuff. Like fencing stolen goods, money laundering, etc. They mostly handle information, however, selling it, finding it, and collecting it forming a tight knit trio who pride themselves on uncovering any knowledge, no matter how well hidden. They are the direct rivals to the Detective Trio, who will be up next.

Cicely Sullivan (Cress/OC). The ‘Femme Fatale’, likes to use charm and seduction to gather information. Raised in the Castelia crime scene by her mobster father (also a former Plasma member) after spending her early childhood in Driftveil with the other Plasma defectors.

Euphie Montfort (FerrisWheelShipping). Generally wants to keep his criminal involvements a secret from his family, especially his father. Calm, intelligent, and insightful, Euphie can go from sweet and gentle to cold and ruthless in a heartbeat. He’s very persuasive and has great people skills.

Ginger Finley (BaptistShipping Chili’s Son & Korrina’s Stepson). Despite only being drawn into the life of crime in his late teens by his cousin Cicely, Ginger’s a natural at it. He seems to attract the most trouble as well (including the incident that took his eye and left him with a nasty shoulder injury). Eager, charismatic and great at coming up with plans on the fly, Ginger is both the ‘poster boy’ and self-proclaimed ‘mastermind’ of the trio.
