How did Cypress found out that Draco has his child?

[This content is out of date and no longer canon]

This is a part of their story that I’m still developing, so I’m sorry that I can’t give a more detailed answer, but Cypress likely found out ‘through the grapevine’ so to speak. Most of the Champions of the regions keep in touch, so Iris and Lance know each other and trade news about their families as well as what is going on in their respective regions. Iris is aware of her son’s poor relationship with Draco, so she tries to avoid talking about him when Cypress is around, but accidents happen. It’s likely that Cypress overheard that Draco has a son and though he initially would react with disinterest (why would I care what he’s getting up to?) his curiosity would get the better of him and he would want to try and find information on his ex’s child.

Cypress finds a picture of Noel either through social media or a mutual acquaintance and can’t deny the similarities he shares with the child, not to mention that doing the math puts Noel’s conception right around when he and Draco were still in a relationship. While I know Cypress definitely reacts poorly to the revelation, the details are still not entirely worked out, so I can’t say what exactly he does. I do know that he and Draco are able to come to a resolution eventually, where they agree to give Noel the option of contacting Cypress when he’s old enough to understand the situation. Whether or not Noel decides to do this is still unknown, however, since his character right now pretty much amounts to ‘Draco’s drama baby’, haha!

Just as a side note since I’m maybe about a third or so through with the ‘masterlists’ that the purpose of these was to help shed some light on the fankids I don’t talk about as much here. You probably can notice that a lot of them don’t have a lot of development, but they all play a role, so please feel free to ask about any that catch your eye!

Masterlist

I have been working on making a masterlist of mini-profiles for all (yes all) of my fankids. I have a lot, meaning it will take a long time for me to make art and profiles of them all, so hopefully these masterlists will be a helpful way to keep track of them all until then. I am doing the lists by region and should have them all done in the coming month (give or take). The Kanto masterlist is already done and I will link it here.

Thank for all the continued support and I look forward to continuing to produce content for this AU that I have grown so dedicated to.

MindfulShipping?

How they first met: Mira had decided to travel to Hoenn for her pokémon journey after travelling through Sinnoh initially. She lost her first Gym Battle against Tate and Liza and, feeling a little sorry for herself, decided to explore a bit and train for her rematch. Being Mira, she ended up getting lost almost immediately once she strayed from the path. She asked her Alakazam to send out a psychic distress beacon which Tate picked up on, heading out to rescue her. While Mira was embarrassed at first about being rescued by the Gym Leader she had just lost against, her embarrassment quickly became admiration and quite a bit of a crush at Tate’s bravery in rescuing her and how kind he was about helping her out, even offering some tips to help her for her rematch.
Where their first date was: Remembering the sweet and clever Gym Leader who had helped her out when she got lost, after beating the Hoenn League Mira headed back to Mossdeep and begged the twins to take her on as an apprentice. She was a skilled trainer, so they let her have a job as a Gym Trainer, despite her obvious crush. Well, obvious to Liza, Tate was oblivious. Eventually, after about three years of working at the Mossdeep Gym, Liza got tired of Mira making heart-eyes at her oblivious brother, so she clued Tate in to the situation. He felt so bad for not noticing his friend’s crush he asked her out the very next day (both to apologize for being dense and to figure out his own feelings for her). They visited a local botanical gardens and had a great time, deciding at the end to date officially.
When they had their first kiss: They actually kiss on their first date. While wandering in one of the greenhouses at the gardens they were visiting, Mira decided to directly ask Tate if he had feelings for her or not, since he had rushed into asking her out. When Tate admits that over the course of their date he has found himself more and more attracted to her, Mira squeals and then drags him behind a tree and goes in for a kiss. Tate is a surprised at her forwardness, but reciprocates (and is surprised when Mira admits that was her first kiss since she was so enthusiastic.)
Who cooks: Mira is not a very good cook, so Tate usually ends up cooking for their family. Liza and her family are often over as well and she and Tate love to cook together.
Who proposed: Tate. Despite Mira being the more enthusiastic of the couple, she’s also not very good at moving the relationship forward, so after a few years of dating, Tate decides to propose.
The dominant one: Mira, but only since she’s so enthusiastic and eager. Tate is certainly not passive, but Mira is more likely to initiate anything.
Their favorite pastime together: Despite her horrible sense of direction, Mira loves hiking and exploring nature, so she and Tate often like to use their free time to go on hikes, with Tate navigating. Otherwise, they went on a lot of museum (and similar locations) dates before getting married, and continue to enjoy doing so while married, often bringing the twins along for a weekend outing.
Who kissed who first: Mira kissed Tate.
Who is the flirt: Mira is quite the aggressive flirt, though Tate has his moments once they’ve been together for a while.
Who is the romantic: While Mira is the more eager of the two, Tate tends to be more thoughtful and is often the one to plan dates and the like. He likes routines, so he and Mira have regular ‘date nights’, ‘couple’s nights’ and ‘movie nights’ that he enjoys planning.
Who wakes up first: Tate.
Who comforts who the most: Mira can be prone to getting worked up over a small inconvenience or irritation and need to be calmed down with help from her husband, while Tate tends to be a worrier and often needs his wife to remind him to take a deep breath and stop overthinking things too much. So really, it’s a tossup.
The cuddler: Mira.
The big spoon: Tate.

can you give us the names of each region’s gym leaders in your au with some explanation about them…

[This content is out of date and no longer canon]

These aren’t fully set in stone so one or two might change in the future, and the details on just how some of them ended up Gym Leaders is still unknown, but here’s a general outline! (Sorry, the World page section on the Gym Leaders isn’t up to date. I’ll get on that.)

Kanto Gym Leaders

Forrest Nibi (Pewter City, Rock-type Specialist)
→ Brock gives the Gym to Forrest when he decides to pursue pokémon medicine.
Peony Hanada (Cerulean City, Electric-type Specialist)
→ Originally, Misty left the Gym to Daisy when she moved to the Orange Islands, but neither of Daisy’s children were interested in being the next Gym leader when she decided to retire. Violet’s daughter, Peony, on the other hand, loved battling and was the best candidate. She breaks the pattern of the previous Cerulean Gym Leaders by being an electric-type specialist like her father, however.
Adriana Mitler (Vermillion City, Water-type Specialist)
→ With Peony running the Cerulean Gym and Heather up to…. something, Lt. Surge had to look outside his daughters for successors. While I’m still not sure exactly how Adriana ends up running the Gym, she does have a connection to the Lieutenant, being his step-niece.
Erika Tamamushi (Celadon City, Grass-type Specialist)
Kestrel Sekichiku (Fuschia City, Poison-type Specialist)
→ After Janine’s death, Koga comes out of retirement to take over being Gym Leader until his eldest granddaughter comes of age. Kestrel sees being Gym Leader as a chore more than anything and often has to be bribed to be there.
Amaryllis Tokiwa (Saffron City, Fairy-type Specialist)
→ After Sabrina leaves Kanto to pursue acting, her Gym is in…. someone’s hands (not sure yet). Eventually, Amaryllis ends up inheriting it and becomes Kanto’s first fairy-type Gym Leader..
Kaito Mikami (Cinnabar Island, Psychic-type Specialist)
→ Having originally lived on the island many years ago, when Blaine retires, he asks his granddaughter-in-law’s cousin to take over the Gym, much to Kaito’s surprise. He also helps with the rebuilding efforts for the island.
Mimi Aoyama (Viridian City, Multi-type Specialist)

→ When Gary retires to pursue research, it’s no question who will inherit the Gym, since he’d been training Mimi as his successor for a while. She follows in her husband’s footsteps and doesn’t stick to one type of pokémon, using the same team she traveled with on her pokémon journey.

Johto Region

Lyra Suzuki (Violet City, Flying-type Specialist)
→ While the details are still shaky, Lyra inherits the Gym from Falkner when he moves to Kanto due to his marriage with Janine.
Bugsy Hiwada (Azalea Town, Bug-type Specialist)
Whitney Kogane (Goldenrod City, Normal-type Specialist)
Karen Yoshino (Cherrygrove City, Dark-type Specialist)
→ Following Pryce’s retirement, Karen left the Elite Four to pursue her dream of opening a Gym in her hometown.
Yuusuke Hasumi (Ecruteak City, Ghost-type Specialist)
→ He inherits from his father, Morty.
Chuck Sawada (Cianwood City, Fighting-type Specialist)
Jasmine Asagi (Olivine City, Steel-type Specialist)
Draco Fusube (Blackthorn City, Dragon-type Specialist)
→ It is a bit of a tradition that the head of the Mikami-Fusube joint clans is the Blackthorn Gym Leader. The head of clan title switches between the two clans each generation, so while Clair was the previous clan head, Lance’s son Draco is the next one.

Hoenn Region

Rudy Jiang (Rustboro City, Rock-type Specialist)
→ He inherits from his mother, Roxanne. His twin sister inherits their father’s Gym.
Safir Jiang (Dewford Town, Fighting-type Specialist)
→ She inherits from her father, Brawly. Her twin brother inherits their mothers Gym.
Theo Heath (Mauville City, Fairy-type Specialist)
→ Details are still unclear but he inherits when Wattson retires, most likely.
Caleb Moore (Lavaridge Town, Fire-type Specialist)
→ Inherits from his mother, Flannery.
Wally Birch-Fang (Petalburg City, Multi-type Specialist)
→ Norman recommended Wally as his successor, much to Wally’s surprise, since May was busy being a Frontier Brain and Max was more interested in studying under Prof Birch.
Winona Lu (Fortree City, Flying-type Specialist)
Laelia & Trias Jin (Mossdeep City, Psychic-type Specialists)
→ They inherit from their father, Tate.
Lisia Lu (Sootopolis City, Dragon-type Specialist)
→ She changes gears from coordinating to battling and takes over the Gym from her uncle Wallace when he becomes Hoenn Champion.

Sinnoh Region

Roark Subotin (Oreburgh City, Rock-type Specialist)
Gardenia Kobyakova (Eterna City, Grass-type Specialist)
Natalia Rebreanu (Veilstone City, Steel-type Specialist)
→ Maylene leaves the Gym in her hands when she becomes an Elite Four member.
Crasher Wake (Pastoria City, Water-type Specialist)
Ceres Severnaya (Hearthome City, Poison-type Specialist)
→ Fantina befriended Ceres when the girl took an interest in coordinating while she studyed in Hearthome. When Fantina decided to retire to pursue coordinating full time, she named Ceres as her successor. Challengers have to complete math puzzles to reach her.
Maisy Chistyakova (Canalave City, Dark-type Specialist)
Byron heard about her through fellow Gym Leader Volkner, as Maisy is his niece. She apprenticed under him and he liked her spunk enough to name her his successor. She’s done…. interesting things to the Canalave Gym decor, in usual Maisy fashion.
Candice Nakamura (Snowpoint City, Ice-type Specialist)
Volkner Tatarintsev (Sunnyshore City, Electric-type Specialist)

Unova Region

Cheren Rysinov (Aspertia City, Normal-type Specialist)
Roxie Helias (Virbank City, Poison-type Specialist)
Gabriele Campanula (Castelia City, Ground-type Specialist)
He thought his father’s old job of being a Gym Leader sounded fun, so when Burgh retired to focus on his art, Gabe got himself into the position of next Gym Leader through some dubious methods.
Elesa Tatarintseva (Nimbasa City, Electric-type Specialist)
Stephan Dunstan (Driftveil City, Fighting-type Specialist)
→ Details are still unclear on how he inherits from Clay.
Jerrie Vidales (Mistralton City, Steel-type Specialist)
→ Inherits from her mother, Skyla. The Gym still has an airplane theme to it since Jerrie loves planes so much.
Marlon Naryshkina (Humilau City, Water-type Specialist)
Noah, Micah & Terah Pendragon (Opelucid City, Dragon-type Specialists)
As Drayden’s eldest grandchildren, the triplets are the natural choice for his (and Iris’) successors, though Iris’ eldest, Cypress, is gunning for the position as well.

Kalos Region

Viola Leroux (Santalune City, Bug-type Specialist)
Grant Leroux (Cyllage City, Rock-type Specialist)
Chili von Schwan (Shalour City, Ghost-type Specialist)
→ He takes over the Gym when his wife, Korrina, becomes an Elite Four member. His Gym is themed like a magic show, with Chili as the master of illusion and his ghost pokémon as his assistants.
Mairin Sycamore (Coumarine City, Grass-type Specialist)
→ She inherits from her grandfather, Ramos.
Clemont Brassard (Lumiose City, Electric-type Specialist)
Sawyer Sheng (Laverre City, Multi-type Specialist)
→ Details are still unclear but he inherits when Valerie moves to Kanto.
Azariah Arcelus (Anistar City, Dark-type Specialist)
→ I have no idea how he ends up here, but that’s just how it is with Azariah really.
Evelyn de Beauvilliers (Snowbelle City, Water-type Specialist)
→ I’m also still not sure on the details, but she takes over from Wulfric through some series of events.

Any endgame ships for Maylene?

[This content is out of date and no longer canon]

Nope! Maylene stays single in mine. I believe she ends up joining the Sinnoh Elite Four. While is not married and doesn’t have any children, she does have a niece and nephew, since Mira is her little sister in L&L. Lucian is also her uncle, so Lucian and Dahlia’s children are her cousins. Maylene is also close friends with Reggie and Candice and is an aunt figure to Tristan and Isolde – likely the equivalent of a godmother.

How they first met: They first met when Casey helped Corey’s Charizard (and Corey himself) regain his confidence. Casey initially only had eyes for Corey, since he was her idol, while Benny slowly grew to have a crush on Casey, admiring her dedication and passion, while Corey himself was oblivious to both Casey’s feelings for him and his brother’s feelings for Casey.
Where their first date was: After yet another season gone by without Corey returning her feelings, Casey was in a bit of a funk as the reality sunk in that her idol just wasn’t interested, so Benny offered to take her out to barbecue to cheer her up. While he certainly didn’t intend it to be a date, it was during this meal that Casey realized how much Benny had done for her over the years at that he just might like her. When she asked him if he had feelings he got super embarrassed and that confirmed it for her. After that meal, Casey began to reconsider her own feelings for Benny, so while it wasn’t really a date, it was the turning point for their relationship and Casey ended up asking Benny out formally not long after.
When they had their first kiss: They had their first kiss at the end of their fifth date, when Casey kissed Benny goodbye.
Who cooks: Benny, since Casey isn’t very good at complicated dishes (she’s great at making junk food though!).
Who proposed: Benny.
The dominant one: Casey.
Their favorite pastime together: As Casey becomes the manager for the Olivine Electabuzz baseball team, going to games is a regular pastime for the family. Otherwise, they like to head out the park and picnic, play games, etc. Casey likes sporty activities and Benny prefers more lowkey pastimes so both of these are a nice compromise.
Who kissed who first: Casey kissed Benny.
Who is the flirt: Neither are super flirty, but Benny has a bit of a mischievous side and likes to tease his wife by flustering her with flirtations.
Who is the romantic: Casey is fond of big and flashy romantic gestures (banners, giant bouquets, even skywriting once), while Benny is definitely more of a ‘traditional’ romantic.
Who wakes up first: Casey has to get up early for work usually, and Benny always wakes up at the same time as her.
Who comforts who the most: Casey is more emotional, so Benny tends to comfort her more, especially after (yet another) loss of the Electabuzz.
The cuddler: Casey.
The big spoon: They alternate, but actually aren’t a couple that spoons frequently.
