Got me curious, who is the main antagonist in your verse?
The main antagonist of the L&L story is a mysterious new evil team called Team Oracle! They’ve got a culty vibe and their goals are shrouded in mystery, though they seem to be interested in the powers of Legendary Pokémon. Are they the ones responsible for so many Legendaries reverting to their original, human forms? But if that’s the case then how? And are they related to the disappearances of some of these former Legendaries and those related to them?
The main story of this verse centers around the fankids (mostly the main seven – Emery, Gavin, Renato, Tipha, Ulyssa, Roy & Draco) uncovering the truth of all those questions and more – discovering what Team Oracle are planning and who they really work for.
More will be revealed about them as I continue to work on profiles and (hopefully) eventually stuff like fanfic for the AU!
(Very belated) Birthday art for my bff @sydchan! Cyril and Laurel spending a quiet and peaceful moment with their baby triplets, Chervil, Cascabel, and Clary.
It’s a new year, new me so I did some housekeeping with the fankids and made a few changes. Most only affect minor fankids, though there are a couple more major ones.
Crocus, Nadeshiko, Bobby, Cyan, Aurora, Camille, Sam, Taylor, Kirsten, & Vesper have been cut. These were all kids I felt just didn’t fit into the universe anymore, but they may appear in the future under a different name or with different parents.
Amethyst has been overhauled and is now a boy named Brennan, and Opal is now named Amethyst instead. This change was made since I wasn’t feeling Amethyst as a character as much and to reduce the number of fankids who have the same name as canon characters.
Solomon is finally in Sinnoh where he should have been this whole time. He’s replaced Camille as Cynthia and Diantha’s youngest child. This change was made since I’d been having trouble finding a family I thought suited Solomon for a long time, but I think Cynthia especially will be a good mother for him. Angelica is now an only child.
While Vesper was cut, I still wanted Aria to be a mother, so she’s now the single mother of a daughter named Colette. I would say Colette is an overhaul of Vesper, but Vesper had no characterization in the first place so she might as well be an entirely new character.
Finally, rather than Adriana being Misty’s stepdaughter, she’s now Rudy and Misty’s daughter, which I hope will make me a bit more invested in her and maybe open the way for some parallels/interactions with her and Harvest.
So, as far as I can tell, Allister/Marnie don’t have a ship name yet (which is tragic because they’re such a goth power couple), so I decided to bite the bullet and come up with my own.
I propose MisfitsShipping in reference to the horror punk band (which is American not British but I’ll take what I can get) since that kind of encompasses both of their aesthetics (spooky + punk) and also suits their characters (both of them being misfits/outcasts of a degree, though in different ways of course).
If they actually do have a ship name (that’s used by multiple people) I wasn’t aware of though, please let me know (though I really like this one so I might keep using it anyways haha).

2. What trait does your OC like best about themself? (Eyes, guitar skills, random bird facts, etc)
Cyril has pretty low self esteem, so he has trouble finding personal traits that he likes best, but if he had to choose it would probably be his compassion. Cyril is very empathetic and sensitive to other’s feelings, always happy to lend a hand or a shoulder to lean on. He tries to help others whenever he can, even when he’s not feeling great himself. He’s very much the type of person to selflessly dedicate himself to someone else’s wellbeing (such as his relationship with Laurel.)
7. What is your OC’s opinion on body modifications?
From personal experience, he’s definitely not a fan of them on himself. He doesn’t mind others having them since they’re free to do what they want, but he’d really prefer to not having any himself.
10. Would your OC prefer to live in the city, the suburbs, or the country?
Cyril grew up in the suburbs of Shalour and he would want to continue to live in the suburbs. He doesn’t want to live in any isolated or rural area, but the big crowds of the city also make him nervous. Suburbs where he has space but also plenty of neighbors in sight are just right.
20. A obscure/ridiculous fear your OC has?
It’s not obscure or ridiculous at all, but after his kidnapping and captivity, Cyril is very wary of it happening again and tends to shut himself in his room, afraid of going outside even with others. Over time he’s able to work up to going outside, on walks, and eventually on day trips, but for a while it’s something he struggles with.
An actual obscure/ridiculous fear of his would be that, for a while, he was afraid of bat pokémon. During a family outing when he was young, he wandered away from his parents to go exploring and found a small cave. When he poked his head in, he startled a flock of Zubat and Golbat, who all flew out of the cave right into him, terrifying him. For quite a few years after that, Cyril was afraid of any bat pokémon, though he begins to grow more comfortable around them after catching his Noibat.
29. Someone does something awful in front of your OC. How do they handle it?
It depends on what the awful thing was. While he was kidnapped, Cyril saw a lot of awful things being done to other people (and to himself), to the point he just had to get used to it as best he could. Once he’s back home, however, seeing something similar happen without meaning to distresses him a lot, which is part of why he becomes somewhat of a shut-in. Even if he’s unlikely to witness similar things now that he’s home, he doesn’t want to risk having a flashback or getting into trouble, so it’s safer to stay in his room/home where he knows he can control what he sees/what happens.
31. Does your OC prefer to sleep in a warm or cool area?
Cyril likes to bundle up as he sleeps in comfortable pajamas or sweats, so sleeping in a cooler area is preferable. He also becomes very fond of cuddling someone else as he sleeps (generally Laurel when they’re together), so a cooler area makes doing that more cozy.
Victor/Bede Mate Bonding
Omegaverse nonsense ramblings but Bede both craves and fears bonding with Victor pretty early on into their relationship. He plays it cool and is pretty tsun with Victor overall, but deep down, he’s very affected by how kind and attentive his sort-of boyfriend is. Bede craves affection, this doesn’t change even after he starts to work through some of his insecurities while living with Opal, so every bit of affection Victor shows him makes him melt, especially affection in the heat of the moment.
