Each other! I just don’t have kids for them. Mainly since I played Shield so didn’t get as attached to them, so less motivation to make fankids for them when I could focus developing the rest of the Galar crew. I think they’d make a cute couple though, so they’re definitely endgame.

27, 36 and 49 for Hymnia?
27. Most despicable thing your OC has ever done?
Hymnia’s done a lot of bad things and been implicit in many crimes, so which one is the most despicable is open to interpretation. One that’s up there, however, is offering her detective services to the families and friends of victims that her own friends (or allies, as Hymnia has maybe one friend tops) have murdered or otherwise disposed of, knowing full well what happened and who the perpetrator is, then framing someone else as the suspect by planting evidence and the like. It’s a service she offers to her allies (or anyone else, really) for a fee, so in the end she gets paid twice for getting to “create her own murder mystery”. She doesn’t care at all that she’s lying to people and framing innocents, since at the end of the day her only priority is her own amusement and well-being.
36. Your OC’s favorite fashion era? (20’s, 70’s, etc)
She’ll wear whatever suits the situation best, but she can, she enjoys more 19th century and early 20th century (or late 35th, early 36th century in L&L years) inspired fashion (ranging from Victorian to 20′s.) Her parents tended to dress her in more vintage styles when she was younger and the look suits her detective persona, so she’s come to enjoy that style of fashion.
49. Your OC’s most prized possession?
In general, Hymnia places little value on material goods, as they’re usually as replaceable as anything else, but she’s rather attached to a pocket watch that used to belong to her great-grandmother, Diana. When Diana died in war, the watch was one of the possessions recovered from her body and was given to her fiance, Altus, who then gave it to Calliope, their daughter, as a wedding present (Calliope’s twin brother, Orpheus, got Diana’s pocketknife on his own wedding, but it went missing when he did). After Calliope passed away, the watch ended up in storage until Hymnia came across it while exploring the attic when she was young and, once she learned the history behind it, decided to keep it. She’s been compared to her grandmother and great-grandmother frequently by those who knew them, and while this does annoy her sometimes since they’re long gone, all the same she’s proud to be related to such accomplished women who made such a striking impact as a war hero and one of Unova’s first Elite Four. The watch is a reminder to her that she comes from greatness and that the world is her oyster. (She also attaches her Key Stone to it when she gets one.) It’s one of the only possessions she’d be genuinely upset about losing.
7, 11, 24, 36, 45, 50 (chosen randomly haha) for the Oak Boys!
7. What is your OC’s opinion on body modifications?
Roy: He finds the less extreme ones like tattoos and piercings cool on other people, but isn’t sure if he wants them himself. If he were to get some kind of body modification it would probably be a tattoo.
Sage: He doesn’t care what other people do to themselves but he doesn’t want any body modifications himself since things like needles make him nervous.
11. Is your OC a blanket hog?
Roy: Yes. If it’s cold he’ll sleep wrapped up like a burrito and if it’s hot he’ll kick all the blankets onto the floor, but either way he’s a blanket hog.
Sage: Not really. He’s a sound sleeper and doesn’t move around much.
24. Something you like that your OC would hate?
Roy: Cold weather.
Sage: Linguistics.
36. Your OC’s favorite fashion era? (20’s, 70’s, etc)
Roy: 90s preppy fashion – letter jackets, blazers, jumpers, etc.
Sage: He’s fond of how traditional and Western style clothing were blended in the 20s and tries for a similar vibe in his own fashion.
45. What kind of self-esteem does your OC have?
Roy: Overwhelmingly confident. He’s comfortable with himself enough to shrug off mistakes and is very self-assured.
Sage: Mixed-bag. He’s usually confident in himself but setbacks tend to hurt his self-esteem quite a bit. He’s usually able to bounce back quickly enough though.
50. What is your OC’s happy place?
Roy: Not a specific location, but anywhere cozy and cheerful where he can have a good time with his friends, be it around the campfire while traveling or getting dinner at a restaurant or just at his house.
Sage: The treehouse he built with his family in the woods behind their house in Pallet.
Who do the SWSH player characters end up with?
What timing anon! I just posted a quick description of all my SWSH fankids a moment ago. You can find it here. To answer your question quickly, though, Gloria ends up with Hop and Victor ends up with Bede.
what ship (either parent or fankid) is your favourite to work on at the moment
I’m working on Galar fankids at the moment since I’ve finished my first Shield playthrough. It’ll probably be a little while until they’re public on the blog though, just since I want to have a good idea of their roles and characters first.
Do you have a list of all the canon fankid pairings (one-sided ships included)?
Not at the moment. Fankid pairings are kind of constantly in flux right now, which is why I removed that section from the directory. There are a few that I know are for sure endgame, such as Emery/Valerian, Euphie/Renato, and Roy/Gavin, but many of the others are still in development.
Do you have an entire list of couples?
Pretty much all the ships are listed on the family page! I’m the type of person who always wants to give couples a kid or two, even if that’s not realistic, so there aren’t many childless couples in this AU. (Also since I just like to design fankids in general.) If there was a character in particular you were wondering about, feel free to ask!
Sage, Scout, and Amaryllis for the meme.

10 Facts About Sage Oak
Sage has a full profile already, so these facts will be more trivia that can’t be found there.
- Sage is the second son of Green Oak and Red Aoyama. He was born on March 8, 3620, three years after his older brother, Roy.
- Sage’s goal to become a Gym Leader is actually in direct response to Roy having the same goal. Sage thinks that Roy doesn’t have what it takes to be a successful Gym Leader, so he wants to become one as well and prove that he can do it better than his brother can.
- As such, he’s been bothering his Aunt Leaf about inheriting the Viridian Gym from her, though her response is usually “I’ll think about it when you’re older” or “If you think I’m retiring any time soon, think again, kid!”
- He’s childhood friends with both Scout and Alton, his traveling companions. He’s known Scout longer, since they’re both from Pallet and the same age, but he’s closer with Alton since the two have more in common.
- He and Alton both vent to each other about whatever problems they have with their parents. Neither are particularly estranged from them or anything, but they both feel pressure in their families to succeed in one area or another and are in similar positions being the youngest child (well, Alton has a younger half-sister, but he doesn’t see her as much since he’s raised mostly by Misty rather than Brock.)
- Sage has an appreciation for traditional Kantonian culture that’s reflected in his style of dress. While neither of his parents are particularly spiritual or traditional, both of their parents (Sage’s grandparents) were friends with one of Kanto’s major deities. Sage grew up hearing stories about historical eras, spirits, youkai, and the like from his Aunt Yellow and her father, as well as his own great-grandfather Blaine, and developed an interest in Kanto’s history and traditional culture. He loves festivals since to him, they’re somewhat a timeless tradition and depending on the festival, sometimes the Other World is more present than ever.
- Sage’s dislike of urban legends is related to this. He hates how modern myths replace the old ones and will never spread an urban legend he hears, even chiding the one he heard it from for believing rumors like that. Similarly, Sage has a fascination with youkai ever since he found out his own great-great grandmother was a fox youkai. He’s cautious about poking his nose too far into such things, however, since he knows it can be dangerous even for mages like himself.
- When traveling in Johto, Sage’s group encounter Branwen, Corvin, and Celeste, all of whom spend a lot of time investigating the supernatural, urban legends, hauntings, and the like (much to Celeste’s chagrin.) Sage disapproves of their actions since he believes they’re just putting themselves and others in danger by messing with things they don’t understand. He’s rivals especially with Branwen, who’s flippant attitude reminds him unpleasantly of Roy. They battle pretty much every time they meet.
- Sage has a habit of being very defensive of his interests, especially if they’re more obscure. He tends to criticize more popular trends and media if he happens to enjoy something less popular and will get annoyed if anyone makes the inevitable hipster jokes about this. For example, Sage dislikes the Hoenn Rangers Coexistence Force show only because he likes the older and less popular Kanto Rangers Justice Heroes program, which only had two seasons and barely any merch or dvds exist any more. It’s less that he loves the latter show, and more that he’s bothered that the one he likes more is less popular. He has similar feelings about many other things, like foods, movies, and music.
- Sage is actually horrible at learning languages. He’s fluent in Japanese (his mother tongue),
and Japanese Sign Language (what Red uses to primarily communicate) and semi-fluent in League Standard (a language intended for use by travelers that’s standardized across all regions that are part of the Pokémon League, it’s taught in schools and most people are only conversational in it unless they travel frequently.) He chose English as his language elective in school but is miserable at it. He generally relies on his more linguistically-inclined friends to translate if the need arises.
Do you have a list of all the orientations of the main adults and their partners?

In all honesty anon, it’s not really something I think about that much. I’ll put an orientation down on profiles but really that’s just whatever came to mind. I fully encourage people to headcanon whatever they want regarding sexual orientations of adults (and even fankids tbh.) I mean you can assume things based on who they end up with but really, I don’t think about orientations before deciding ships, I just go with what I think has interesting chemistry. Most people in the L&L universe are bi though.
ew ikari is so gross 🤢🤢 What’s your thought process behind that?
We’ve all got different ship preferences, anon! I’ve always thought that the two of them could have an interesting dynamic, even if they don’t interact much (or get along very well) in the anime. They’re still kids there after all. I’m fond of ships where people who sort of knew each other years ago reconnect and fall in love, and I like ships where the couple are very different people who compliment each other, and to me Ikari fits that mold. I’ve also seen wonderful fan content for the ship over the years that has endeared me to it! I wouldn’t say I consider it an OTP, and if I did seriously make an animeverse AU, there’s just as good a chance I would go with Ash/Paul/Dawn as Ash/Gary, but that post was just a hypothetical and only one way things could work out. Overall it’s simply a ship I think has good potential.
That being said, I know multiple people who don’t like the ship at all and completely understand that angle as well. We all have ships we like or don’t like after all. If any of my ships or content on here make anyone uncomfortable, feel free to unfollow or block me or blacklist the ship/character! Your own comfort and safety comes first and I wouldn’t be offended or anything at all!
