🌟Layla ?

10 Facts About Layla Birch-Fang

  1. She has a very strong sense of responsibility. As the eldest of her siblings, she sees herself as the protector of her younger brothers and sister and tends to want to keep an eye on them, whether they want it or not. She also feels responsible for preventing any bad thing she sees happen due to her precognition abilities, even though she can’t always change things. Part of her character arc is learning to both let her siblings have some breathing room and to understand that just because she knows something is going to happen, it doesn’t mean it’s her fault if she just can’t do anything to prevent it. She’s not omnipotent.
  2. She’s very neat and well organized and grows anxious when things are disordered in her space. She has a habit of cleaning or organizing when she’s stressed out, be it her own home or other people’s.
  3. She has a very professional dress sense, fitting right into the Interpol dress code before she even was recruited. She typically wears blazers and skirts and always carefully coordinates her outfits (out of the various dark colors allowed by the Interpol dress code.)
  4. After years of practice, she was able to hone her precognition abilities to the point she can choose what kind of vision she’s going to have. This is most useful for her work in the Ultra Beast department of Interpol as she’s able to accurately predict when and where wormholes will open up, allowing her team to be able to minimize damage caused by rampaging and lost UBs.
  5. She works mainly with the Faller version of her mother, who she refers to as her Aunt off-duty. Faller Anabel has come to see Layla as a sort of surrogate daughter herself over time as well. Layla also ends up working a lot with Ohia, who himself is a Faller and a sort of on-call employee for Interpol, assisting their studies of UBs and the nature of wormholes in Alola along with Weiss, who has psychic powers that allow him to manipulate Ultra Wormholes. She strongly dislikes working with the two younger men however, due to their laid back attitude towards the work, since if there’s one thing Layla hates, it’s not taking serious matters like UBs with the gravitas they deserve.
  6. She first met her boyfriend, Caleb, through their mutual friend Opal. At first she hated his flirtatious and habit of joking around, but over time as she got to know the ‘true’ Caleb under the front he puts up she came to like him, eventually falling for the crafty and well-read, but still fun and cheerful man. He often jokes that he’s the only one who can get Layla to laugh (which is not true, but she does find herself more at ease around him, able to relax and not worry as much about her responsibilities.)
  7. She’s also childhood friends with Rudy and Safir, Roxanne and Brawly’s twins. However, she’s not as close with them when she’s older due to an incident when they were children. The three were exploring near Granite Cave when Layla had a vision of them being attacked by scary looking wild pokémon. She immediately ran back down the beach to where Brendan (who was babysitting them) was, but while she was fetching him to help, her friends accidentally disturbed an injured wild Salamence that was hidden in the foliage. Brendan was able to subdue the dragon with the help of his pokémon, but Rudy still ended up getting a fairly serious injury that left a prominent scar. Since that event, Layla has blamed herself for Rudy’s injury and been somewhat distant from her old friends, especially since while Rudy holds no grudge towards her, knowing she was only trying to help, Safir feels a bit bitter that Layla left them to tell an adult rather than just warning them that there was danger so they could have avoided the entire situation.
  8. She used to love watching her father (Wally)’s gym battles as a child, wanting to be like him when she grew up. Originally, she would be brought to watch by Anabel or Brendan, but later on she goes by herself, visiting after school and taking notes on her father’s techniques. As a result, her battle style is strongly influenced by his. Despite working for Interpol currently, she still dreams of one day inheriting the Petalburg Gym from Wally.
  9. Prior to joining Interpol, she didn’t know that she would be working with a Faller version of her mother, but Faller Anabel ended up being assigned as Layla’s mentor (definitely done on purpose by the upper management.) Layla ends up introducing her ‘aunt’ to her mother which ends up being a very weird meeting for everyone involved.
  10. Layla drinks a lot of tea, of all kinds. She drinks herbal tea to relax, green tea to help her focus, and black tea when she needs an energy boost. Her parents gifted her a fancy box to keep her collection in which is now proudly displayed on her desk at work. She’s very protective of her tea as well, not wanting to share it with anyone and going on a crusade to find the culprit if she finds any missing.

I read ‘Byakuren Tokiwa (Single Father)’ than I read ‘Delia Ketchum (Single Mother)’ and now I couldn’t help but think Ash and Yellow will be cute as siblings!

That’s an intriguing idea! However, while I can see Delia perhaps wanting to start a relationship, Byakuren not as much. He’s a thousands of years old dragon god and in general not really the romantic type. There are even jokes that he just had Yellow through osmosis or something since he never speaks about her other parent. But, while I don’t think they’d end up together romantically, I can see them being good friends! I haven’t thought as much about the dynamic between all the ‘Pallet Parents’ aside from the Charlie/Aiden/Scarlett/Byakuren childhood friend quartet, but since Delia lives there too I’m sure she’s part of that friend group.

I can see her being especially close with Scarlett (Red & Leaf’s mother) and Sylvie (Chase & Elaine’s mother) in a sort of ‘Pallet Town Mom Friends’ group, but I’m sure she’d get to know Byakuren as well. I’m not sure how much he sticks around after Yellow grows up – if he stays in Pallet or heads back to his home/domain of Viridian Forest – but either way he and Delia definitely know each other and are probably friends! Byakuren can be kind of prickly around people who aren’t his immediate friend group, but Delia is also very open and persistent so if she decided she wanted to be friends with him she’d probably manage it. Since she would have known Aiden and Charlie growing up (all three of them being raised in Pallet, and doing a bit of math – she’d be maybe a year or two younger than them), she probably would want to get to know their mysterious new dragon friend as well. As such, they’ve probably known each other since Delia was a teenager, so plenty of time to become friends. Both raising their kids on their own as well, they likely helped each other out with parenting (of course Aiden, Scarlett, and Charlie helped out as well), especially since Delia was quite young when she had Ash.

Ash and Yellow would have grown up as childhood friends. Ash would be around three years older, and they’re both very sweet and friendly people so I can see them spending time together when they were kids aside from just hanging out since their parents are friends. As they’re both only children, perhaps they already had a sibling-like relationship where Yellow looked up to him as an older brother figure (though it was generally Red who was more overt with seeing Ash as a brother figure.) I’m sure they keep in touch as adults since both seem the type to want to stay up to date with their childhood friends, but since they live in different regions now they likely don’t see each other as much unless Ash and his family are visiting his hometown (for the holidays or something.)

So, while I can’t see a ship between their parents working out, Ash and Yellow are still close friends!

How they first met: They met through being Champion. There’s an annual meeting of all the regional Champions, so they met at one of those. Diantha became Kalos Champion after Cynthia, though only barely became Sinnoh Champion, so during Diantha’s first yearly League Conference, Cynthia offered to help guide her new fellow Champion around. They were good friends ever since then, often keeping in touch and meeting up when they were in the other’s region.
Where their first date was: They had their first date after Diana had been Champion for about two years. Diantha was visiting Sinnoh for a movie shoot when Cynthia dropped by and asked if she would like to go visit an exhibit at the local museum she had helped curate? Diantha caught the implications that Cynthia was asking her out and blushed as she agreed. As filming finished up for the day and Cynthia showed up to pick up Diantha, all the other cast and crew were gossiping about this potential blossoming romance.
When they had their first kiss: They have their first kiss on the fifth date, when Diantha meets Cynthia at the airport in Kalos and Cynthia greets her with a quick smooch.
Who cooks: Both of them can cook fairly well, but both are often too busy to cook, so they tend to go to restaurants or have a personal chef. However, when they have the time, they like to cook a meal together.
Who proposed: Cynthia.
The dominant one: Cynthia.
Their favorite pastime together: They travel a lot, mostly between their respective houses (more like mansions) in Sinnoh and Kalos, but when they have the chance they love to travel to other regions and see the sights, enjoy new foods, meet new people, and just have some nice time to themselves without the stress of work (or the kids, though their daughters are all quite well behaved.) Cynthia’s house in Unova is a popular getaway destination.
Who kissed who first: Cynthia kissed Diantha.
Who is the flirt: Cynthia, she’s very smooth and is fond of making her wife blush, even after years of being married.
Who is the romantic: Diantha, hands down. She’s got a real sense for romantic gestures and is always very thoughtful when she wants to treat her wife to something nice. Flower bouquets, romantic dinner dates, she’s done it all.
Who wakes up first: Cynthia tends to be the earlier riser, Diantha often oversleeping a bit if she’s not careful.
Who comforts who the most: Diantha tends to be the more emotional of the two, having more trouble handling stress as well, so Cynthia tends to comfort her more after a particularly trying day. Diantha always tends to worry about the kids more, if they’re doing alright or getting into trouble or are they safe, while Cynthia is much more ‘hands-off’ once the girls are all grown and off on their own journeys. So she tends to reassure Diantha about that a lot as well, often gently reminding her not to blow up the girls’ phones with texts asking if they’re ok.
The cuddler: Diantha.
The big spoon: Cynthia.

How they first met: While they had seen each other in passing, they first officially met when they ran into each other at a tea parlor in Lilycove. They had both come alone and, having briefly met before, decided they ought to sit together and get to know each other better.
Where their first date was: Getting tea together soon became a regular occurrence and at some point became more of a romantic date than a get-together between friends. Neither can say fully when this is though. Otherwise, their first ‘proper’ date would be when Morgan buys two tickets to see an orchestra performance that evening and invites Glacia to join her, her treat.
When they had their first kiss: They have their first kiss after about a month of dating. It was a very chaste and sweet ‘goodbye kiss’ after one of their dates.
Who cooks: Neither are much of cooks, though Morgan has some skills at making things like sweets since her younger sisters always wanted her to bake for them when they were younger. For regular meals though, they usually dine out, as well as having a personal chef (perks of being a couple where both are from wealthy families.)
Who proposed: Morgan. It was very formal and traditional and involved a very gorgeous diamond and garnet ring.
The dominant one: Morgan.
Their favorite pastime together: They enjoy going to see shows! Theater, orchestras, operas – any highbrow type of performance is one of their favorite pastimes.
Who kissed who first: Glacia kissed Morgan.
Who is the flirt: They both like to whisper-flirt to each other while out on a date or at a party, seeing who can fluster the other first. Glacia tends to be the more ‘spicy’ flirt, using flowery innuendos, while Morgan is more traditional and will quote lines of poetry and the like.
Who is the romantic: Glacia. She’s very passionate about her romance and enjoys planning dates, romantic evenings in, special occasions, etc.
Who wakes up first: Morgan, true to her name, is a very early riser and often wakes with the sun, while Glacia prefers to wake up closer to 7 or 8 in the morning.
Who comforts who the most: Morgan usually ends up comforting Glacia more. Glacia can sometimes have trouble expressing herself, getting lost in the ice queen persona when all she wants is to be able to relate to others better. Being an eldest sister, Morgan has plenty of experience comforting and emotionally supporting others, so she’s always there to lend an ear or a shoulder to her wife when she needs it.
The cuddler: Glacia.
The big spoon: Morgan.

Part three of this ask.

10 Facts About Morgan Rozanov

  1. He has Ash’s black hair and ‘z’ markings on his cheeks along with Paul’s gray eyes and hair texture. His hair tends to stick up a bit more than Paul’s though, being prone to bedhead if he doesn’t carefully brush it in the morning and before he goes to sleep.
  2. Like Ash, he’s a light mage, specifically the kind with the ability to use aura. He has trouble controlling his magic, however, either not being able to produce anything at all or going overboard and losing control. He’s afraid of accidentally hurting someone, so he tries to not use his magic that much, even if that’s not very healthy for a mage to do.
  3. He’s on the shy side, disliking direct confrontation and being easily embarrassed in social situations. As a child, he tended to let his much more outgoing older sister handle any social interactions he was too shy to confront himself. He wishes he was more outgoing like his dad or sister, or at least had thicker skin like his father.
  4. He doesn’t much care for being a trainer, much preferring contests to Gym Battles, but for a long time he was afraid to tell his family he wanted to be a coordinator since he thought they would disapprove, being all strong trainers themselves. After a bit of drama and some help from Uncle Reggie, he’s able to tell his parents his dreams and, of course, they support him wholly.
  5. His starter is a Snorunt that was given to him as an egg by Reggie. The Snorunt is actually the child of Paul’s Froslass. Paul had noticed his son’s interest in the elegant pokémon (both his own and Dawn’s Froslass), so he asks for his brother’s help in arranging a way to give Morgan a Snorunt egg as his starter.
  6. Morgan is very close with Ash’s Pikachu (who calls him ‘Pichupi’) often going to his dad’s partner pokémon for support and comfort when he felt too nervous to talk to his parents or sister about whatever was bothering him. Pikachu is also very good at picking up on Morgan’s anxiety and will go cuddle up to him if he notices his ‘nephew’ getting too nervous.
  7. While he tended to dress in plain, practical outfits when he was younger, as he grows more confident and wants to improve his coordinating skills, Morgan decides to try and be bolder in his fashion sense. He ends up going to Emery for advice, since she’s got the flashiest fashion sense of anyone he knows. This results in Morgan developing somewhat of a ‘goth/punk lite’ style in his mid-teens, wearing a lot of fitted and distressed dark clothing, getting his ears pierced, and wearing dark eyeliner and nail polish. He ends up liking this ‘rebellious but not too rebellious’ look quite a bit (though Paul is still baffled by his two goth children.)
  8. Despite his initial concerns about his parents not approving of him being a coordinator, Ash and Paul are very supportive of Morgan’s choice in path. Ash in particular is his son’s most vocal and enthusiastic fan, attending every contest that he can and recording the one’s he can’t to preserve them forever. He’s the parent sitting front and center cheering as loud as he can for his son to win (while Morgan is turning bright red with embarrassment on stage.) Paul is more subdued in his support (often having to tug his husband back down to his seat when he keeps jumping up during Morgan’s contests), but he does his best to help his son in his own way. While he’s not a coordinator himself, he often offers Morgan advice from a technical standpoint for the battle portion of the contests and won’t tolerate anyone trash talking his son in any way (a glare is usually enough to shut up anyone foolish enough to try in his presence.)
  9. Morgan likes to train ‘beautiful’ pokémon, usually having a preference for elegant and graceful ones. He’s a very supportive trainer and does best to encourage his team’s full potential, but sometimes his own self-doubt weighs them all down. Part of his character arc as a coordinator is learning how being confident in himself helps him be more confident in his team and how to help let them support him as much as he supports them.
  10. His favorite food is ice cream, but since he lives in chilly Sinnoh, he gets brain freeze half the time he eats. He always gets upset when he gets brain freeze… but that doesn’t stop him from buying ice cream in the middle of winter anyway. He just can’t resist it. He also bites into his ice cream bars and then chews the ice cream without even hesitating, which is absolutely unsettling to watch.

Part 2 of this ask.

10 Facts About Yuusuke Hasumi

  1. Yuusuke is actually his traditional/Japanese name. His given name is Lyndon, but he dislikes this name and thus rarely uses it. There is a small list of people he allows to call him by his given name, but it’s a privilege reserved only for his closest friends and family. And Caleb. Who calls him ‘Lyndie’ despite Yuusuke’s numerous protests. Yuusuke has just had to learn to accept Caleb’s nicknames. His other nickname is ‘Yuu’, but only Alba calls him that and he doesn’t tolerate it from anyone else, even Caleb.
  2. While Morty had primary custody of him growing up, Yuusuke would still visit Jasmine every month for a weekend. He tended to dislike these visits though, since he doesn’t do well in social interactions with people he doesn’t know well, so once he’s a teenager he stops seeing her as much. He doesn’t dislike his mother, he just doesn’t want to deal with unwanted visits.
  3. He has a passion for the sword, having learned kendo from a young age. He often carries around an ancestral family sword both for the comfort of having it at his side and for the intimidation factor since he hates social interaction.
  4. He has Jasmine’s brown eyes and Morty’s blond hair, though his hair has a similar texture to his mother’s rather than being wavy like Morty’s. He wears it long in a low ponytail and takes his hair-care very seriously.
  5. He gets along with all his siblings differently. He’s very close with Neal, though from an outsider perspective their relationship seems to be mostly Neal teasing Yuusuke and Yuusuke snapping at him. They really do care deeply for each other, however. He’s initially awkward around Mavis, Branwen and Cormag, but after realizing that they look up to him a lot, he tries to be a good role model and spend more time with them. He hates Kestrel. The two are probably equally misanthropic and so they just rub each other the wrong way. He’d prefer to not have to see her and will leave the room if she’s there (and she’ll do the same if she finds him.)
  6. He met Alba through Draco of all people. Yuusuke and Draco are sort-of friends, and Draco knows Alba through his father, as Lance and Cynthia are friends from being Champion. Draco introduced Alba to Yuusuke when she was visiting from Sinnoh and it was basically love at first sight for both of them. Their relationship is a bit confusing to Yuuske’s friends and family since seeing him do anything romantic is baffling, but they’re very much in love.
  7. Though his default mode is ‘irritated’, those who know him well enough can pick out when Yuusuke’s annoyance is real or just feigned. Around people he likes, he’ll be more sarcastic and less scathing. Knowing the difference generally means being close enough to him to be a friend.
  8. To get away from dealing with people, he often likes to go camp out in the woods for a weekend and just spend time training his pokémon without having to interact with anyone.
  9. He has a surprisingly high alcohol tolerance and enjoys hard liquor. However he sees this as going against his ‘image’ and drinks in secret, even though he’s of age. One time Branwen begged him to let her try a bit of his stash when she caught him drinking so he offered her a small sip, which then just knocked her out. He’s not told anyone of this incident since it embarrasses him.
  10. He and Alba have a young daughter named Nadia, who is just a baby. Yuusuke is extremely protective of her and has threatened people for ‘looking at her too much.’ Alba is good at calming down his over-protectiveness however, as she’s got a bit of a gift for knowing just what to say. He and Alba named their daughter together, with Yuusuke suggesting they give her a ‘hopeful’ name and Alba suggesting Nadia as it means ‘hope.’

10 facts about Tanith please?

10 Facts About Tanith Moireach

  1. She sews a lot of her own clothing, or at least alters what she buys from thrift stores. Recently, she’s discovered there’s actually a market for hand made accessories, so she’s set up an online shop for her scrunchies, patches, and clothing.
  2. She plays an equivalent of Dungeons & Dragons with some of her online friends. They have weekly meetings through video chat and it’s something she regularly looks forward to. Currently she’s playing a tiefling arcane trickster in a naval/pirate themed campaign.
  3. While she doesn’t consider herself sporty, Tanith loves to work out and tries to exercise regularly, most often going jogging or hitting the gym. She tends to have a lot of energy, even post workout and is always chipper about encouraging others to exercise as well, even if the don’t want to.
  4. She’s Balthazar’s closest friend, but she’s also close with Alan, him being her best childhood friend. She also is close with Emery, seeing her as an older sister and often emulating her.
  5. Even though they aren’t related by blood, Tanith still considers Ishtar her cousin, since the other girl is her cousin’s cousin so that must mean something! The two are rivals, but it’s fairly friendly.
  6. Tanith and Taffeta are rivals only in coordinating. Their rivalry began when they first competed against each other and Taffeta made a rude comment about Tanith’s dress that had been hand made for her by her grandmother Johanna. Tanith was so pissed she insulted the other girl right back, and an epic and vicious rivalry was born.
  7. While she’s usually pretty hesitant around her father’s more unusual traits, finding his origins and nature quite a bit weird and unnerving, she still does her best to be a good daughter. One of her favorite ways of bonding with him is through telling stories. Being so old, Jeshir has quite a few tales to tell of ancient civilizations and long-dead deities which fascinate the fantasy-loving Tanith to no end. To her, her father is like a character from one of her favorite books, so when she thinks about him that way, his being an old god isn’t so weird after all.
  8. Tanith isn’t entirely sure what she wants to do with her life, which is part of the reason she’s taking both the gym challenge and competing regularly in contests. She admires her mother for being such a cool Champion, so maybe a professional trainer would be a good idea? At the same time, she loves sewing, so maybe the fashion industry? But she adores reading, maybe she should be an author? Or a folklorist? Or a historian? Or…. well the list goes on. She’s still young so she’s got time to figure out what she wants to do.
  9. Tanith’s favorite color is blue, and her pokémon team reflects this, most of them having blue somewhere in their color scheme if not as their main color. She’s also very defensive of her pokémon, especially in contests as a number of them aren’t conventionally cute or beautiful. If anyone dares to insult her Tangrowth or Gliscor or Toxicroak they will feel her wrath.
  10. Tanith usually ends up being the mediator whenever Balthazar and Solomon are arguing (which is 75% of the time.) She doesn’t really get why they are at odds so frequently, but she’s also not a very good mediator as she’ll inevitably take Bal’s side as he’s her childhood friend. She’s doing her best.

Ten facts about Caleb!!

10 Facts About Caleb Moore

  1. He has his mother Flannery’s red hair, though his is more on the ginger side, having some orange tints to it rather than being just red. He doesn’t know what his other parent looked like (they being just someone his mom hooked up with), nor does he particularly care, but he assumes his lighter hair and green eyes come from them, as Flannery has red eyes.
  2. He loves wearing both scarves and bandannas despite the Hoenn heat. While tying a cloth around his forehead isn’t that weird since he helps out at the hot springs and it can function as a sweatband, the scarves he has no excuse for other than liking how they look. While he sometimes will go without a bandanna, the scarf is constant enough his friends grow concerned when he isn’t wearing it.
  3. He was a somewhat lonely child, there not being many other children his age in Lavaridge. While he was friendly with most of the other residents he didn’t have many close friends. As a result, a lot of his personality is a bit of a facade, as he acts cheerful and open just since that’s what got people to like him (and the older people there on vacation would give him sweets for being ‘such a nice young man’). In reality he’s on the more reserved side, with a sharp wit and fondness for snide comments. After going on his journey and meeting more people, he opens up more and ends up making his first friends.
  4. He likes to give people nicknames, whether they want them or not. Some of these for his closer friends include ‘Opes’ for Opal, ‘Scully’ for Layla, ‘Aurory’ for Aurora, ‘Alietta’ for Alba, ‘Eyebrows’ for Harry, the ‘Terrible Trio’ for the Pendragon triplets, and ‘Red Bean’ for Neal (due to his hair color). He’s also one of the very few people Yuusuke tolerates calling him by his given name, Lyndon. Caleb abuses this privileged readily, often calling him ‘Lyndie’.
  5. Opal is his closest friend, the two meeting on their respective journeys. The rest of his friend circle met through happenstance and random encounters and each of have a different story to tell for how they all became friends. Caleb claims it was his ‘magnetic personality’ that drew such different people from all different regions together.
  6. He’s very physically affectionate and rather flirtatious, often slinging his arm over people’s shoulders and greeting them with a hug. He does keep in mind if someone’s uncomfortable with that however – he never wants to take his teasing too far and end up hurting someone. Once he starts dating Layla, however, he does tone down the ‘flirting with everyone’ quite a bit and mainly just flirts with his girlfriend (though he’ll still jokingly flirt with his other friends.)
  7. Though he might act the part of an airheaded, chatty fool half the time, Caleb is quite smart and has a voracious appetite for knowledge – in no small part thanks to books being his main source of entertainment as a child. He also enjoys coming up with strategies and one of his favorite parts of being a Gym Leader is figuring out how to adapt to his opponents and keep them on their toes.
  8. He hates spicy food, which his friends regularly point out the irony of considering he’s a fire type Gym Leader. He argues that his favorite food is grilled meat, so that’s befitting enough of a fire type specialist that everyone can over look his hatred of spicy things.
  9. He sleeps. A lot. Both a full night’s rest plus naps during the day. He claims it’s from growing up in such a lazy and laid back town that makes him so sleepy. He tends to drink a lot of coffee to clear any lingering drowsiness, which usually just makes him more eager and chipper than usual (Opal often complains about ‘Coffee Caleb’ since nobody should be that happy that early in the morning.)
  10. He claims to have a photographic memory. Nobody’s been able to confirm or deny this, but the general agreement is that, photographic or not, Caleb does have a very good memory. Generally what he finds worth remembering are random trivia and things he can use for blackmail against his friends (he remembers when Yuusuke wouldn’t lend him his umbrella and he had to walk home in the rain… Yuu might not remember but Caleb does…)

Peony?

10 Facts About Peony Hanada

  1. She has light blue hair, a mixture of her parents’ colors, and blue eyes like her father. Her hair is a medium length and she usually keeps it tied back in a ponytail, though when they were younger (before their falling out), Heather would always like to play with her big sister’s hair and put it in all sorts of braids and fancy styles. Peony never learned how to do much beyond a basic ponytail or braid so those are the styles she sticks to now.
  2. She’s very sporty, always needing to do some kind of physical activity each day so she doesn’t get restless. Her favorite is undoubtedly swimming, though unlike her water ballerina mother, Peony prefers swimming just to work out, usually doing laps or long-distance swimming if she’s in the ocean. Aside from swimming, she also enjoys running, typically putting on some music and just zoning out, often finding that she’s run a good deal further than she intended. Surge occasionally joins his daughter on her runs or to work out as well and it’s one of their typical father-daughter activities.
  3. Peony takes after her father more, so it’s no surprise she trains electric-types like him. Her starter was an Elekid given to her as an egg by Surge when she was around 11 years old, as a present for placing first in her school’s track and field meet.
  4. Being so similar to her father, Peony tends to be closer to him than her mother, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t get along with Violet. Violet taught Peony how to swim and also was her lifeguard instructor when Peony decided to get her certification. Aside from swimming, Peony also tends to feel more comfortable going to her mother for emotional support as for all of Surge’s strengths… knowing how to handle two teen girls’ emotional drama isn’t one of them.
  5. Being athletic, motivated, and a skilled trainer, Peony has always been her father’s star child. She never really realized how much this hurt and her younger sister growing up. Heather would always try to impress Peony (and by extension their father) but it never seemed to work, so over the years she grew bitter and withdrawn from her family, eventually abandoning them and falling in with a bad crowd. Peony feels horrible for not realizing what her sister was going through, as she always assumed that Heather was fine being in her own niche and wasn’t interested in all the sporty stuff she and their father were into (though Heather was also keeping these feelings to herself, not even telling Violet about how she felt left out, so her running away came as a surprise to her parents as well.)
  6. Because of what happened with Heather, Peony tries to be extra observant of others’ feelings now, not wanting to unintentionally neglect someone’s wishes or desire for attention again. As a Gym Leader, she takes her responsibilities very seriously and has a reputation for being both strict and fair.
  7. She’s an absolutely horrendous artist, being unable to properly draw even a stick figure. This always frustrated her growing up, especially since her cousin Camellia is a far better artist than her despite being 9 years younger. Peony has quite a bit of pride since she tends to be quite good at most things, so being outdone by someone far younger in anything is always a bit embarrassing for her.
  8. While she wants to find Heather and reconcile with her, a part of Peony also resents her sister for her actions. She knows that she is partially to blame for Heather’s ultimate alienation, but by leaving she also hurt their parents, who both also regret not realizing just how they had hurt her. Peony’s strong loyalty and protectiveness of her family cause her feelings to be at war – she both wants to find Heather so they can repair their sisterly bond, but she’s also mad at her for hurting their family by leaving.
  9. Being the eldest of the ‘Cerulean cousins’, Peony tends to see herself as the big sister to all her younger cousins, which is welcomed by some and… not as much by others. She takes her family very seriously and is a bit of a bossy ‘big sis’, often trying to help her cousins out whether they want it or not.
  10. Like Violet, she’s conscious about her appearance and usually tries to dress in a way that’s both practical and shows off her body, typically by wearing form-fitting athletic clothes that highlight her lean frame and long legs. She doesn’t necessarily do it in a flirty manner, but rather she wants to show off how athletic she is since she’s proud of her fitness.
