Ferriswheelshipping please! :D

How they first met: They first met in Accumula after Ghetsis’ rally! N was interested in interacting with Hilda as a trainer to ‘convert’ and Hilda thought N was a weird protester and just sort of indulged him since she tries to be respectful of all ideologies.
Where their first date was: Their first actual date was when the twins were about three years old. It was all very proper and set up in advance, since the two wanted to try out going on a date to see what it was like and if it felt right for them. They went out to a dinner and movie in Nimbasa, pretty ‘stereotypical’ date material.
When they had their first kiss: Well, technically, their first kiss was when they hooked up at Bianca’s Halloween party, but their first kiss while dating was right on the first date. N kissed Hilda during the credits of the movie, then immediately apologized for being forward, though Hilda didn’t mind and said she would be fine with going further once they got home or not, depending on what he wanted.
Who cooks: Hilda is the better cook, but N is usually the one home to do the cooking since their home is right above the pokémon shelter he mainly runs. His cooking is pretty good, but he tends to stick to the recipe by the letter, rather than getting more creative like Hilda does. Once the kids are older, however, Euphie usually cooks, since he’s quite the skilled chef.
Who proposed: Hilda proposed! Her mom and the twins helped her set the whole thing up, from choosing a ring to finding the perfect location. At this point, she knew N would say yes, so it was all about the celebration. After he accepted her proposal, the twins burst out of hiding and, though they were meant to give bouquets to the happy couple, ended up throwing the flowers on them instead. It was all pretty hilarious. They had a small party in Nuvema at Hilda’s childhood home afterwards.
The dominate one: Hilda is more consistently dominant, but N can easily be more dominant than her when he wants to be, though he tends to be more flexible.
Their favorite pastime together: Working at the pokémon shelter together is a favorite. Hilda is so busy with her Elite Four job that just unwinding by taking care of pokémon with her husband is something she looks forward to. As for more romantic pastimes, while they don’t live there, if they have the time, they like to go to Nimbasa to visit the amusement park – especially the ferris wheel, of course.
Who kissed who first: N! Both during their one-night-stand and when they started dating.
Who is the flirt: Neither, actually. They are not a super flirty couple and prefer to show their affection through smaller, non-verbal displays.
Who is the romantic: N, usually. Hilda can be a bit stiff and formal at times, especially when she’s tired after work, so N likes to help her unwind by pampering her and showering her with romantic gestures. He gets really into the idea of romance and the like so getting her flowers and setting up cute dates is a hobby for him.
Who wakes up first: They tend to wake up at the same time, typically. Hilda is perhaps a bit more of an early riser, but a good amount of the time, N will wake up before her. It really depends on the day. Both of them kind of like to watch the other sleep though, if they wake up first. It’s comforting seeing their spouse so at ease.
Who comforts who the most: Hilda usually comforts N more, simply because N has had the more upsetting life. She’s gotten tuned in to the things that can cause him to panic or react negatively as a result of Ghetsis and Team Plasma and how to help him in those situations. That being said, N also knows that Hilda tends to internalize her own problems and hates when she takes care of him but not herself. As a result, he’s also gotten good on picking up when Hilda is bothered by something, and knows just what to do to help her feel better or just provide a shoulder to lean on.
The cuddler: N tends to be more physically affectionate, often curling up to Hilda like a cat, but his wife has her moments as well. The two aren’t super big on PDA though, nor physical affection in general, so most of their cuddling is when they’re at home alone and sitting together or in bed.
The big spoon: They switch! N is taller, so he often will be the big spoon, but then Hilda will complain he’s too bony and his elbow is poking into her so she’ll demand to be the big spoon instead. Either way, even if they start off spooning it doesn’t last long, since it’s not really either of their preferred cuddling position.

And how about Hardenshipping too, please? :3

How they first met: The two of them first met as new hires to a now-defunct Hoenn villainous team called Team Ventus, who wanted to try and summon Rayquaza in a plan to take over Hoenn. Maxie was hired as a scientist and Archie was more of a general grunt. The two became quite good friends while working for Team Ventus and both agreed to leave the team when their plans started to go under. It was only afterwards that the two began disagreeing on their next course of action and became rivals.
Where their first date was: While they didn’t consider it a date at the time, Maxie invited Archie to accompany him and Kiran to an open-air market in Lilycove in the hopes of continuing to repair their friendship. There was definite romantic tension to the whole thing though, and looking back the two consider it their first date.
When they had their first kiss: The two were just hanging out by themselves in the old Aqua base in Lilycove (where the two teams had moved in together) when Archie leaned in to kiss Maxie. Maxie was initially surprised, but he certainly didn’t protest. Neither of them had outright admitted romantic feelings up to that point, so this kiss (which soon turned into quite a makeout session) marked the beginning of their ‘official’ romance. The rest of the two teams (go by Team Aether now) thought it was about time their bosses just got together already.
Who cooks: Maxie usually cooks! Archie is good at the basics, but most of his recipes require pre-prepared components. Maxie is quite good at cooking and picks up new recipes well. Kiran likes both their cooking though and would always insist Archie cook when she wanted something a bit unhealthier for dinner.
Who proposed: It was actually Maxie who ‘proposed’ but it was incredibly informal. He and Archie had been living together and dating for a while, and one afternoon while Maxie was going over expenses for Team Aether, he made an off handed comment about how things would be easier if he and Archie got married – in terms of tax benefits and guardianship of Kiran and the like. Archie just casually responded back, “Well, why don’t we?” and that was that.
The dominate one: Archie for certain, though when Maxie gets a new idea in his head, he’ll be the one to take control to try it out.
Their favorite pastime together: While Archie loves big group activities with all of Team Aether, Maxie prefers quieter pastimes. As such, their favorite thing to do together is usually going hiking or to some secluded nature spot since, despite their differences, they both love spending time outdoors.
Who kissed who first: Archie kissed Maxie!
Who is the flirt: Archie for certain. Maxie is a terrible flirt.
Who is the romantic: Also Archie. He knows Maxie loves him, but Maxie’s idea of romance is unconventional at best. Archie is more of the ‘candles and rose petals’ type of romantic, though he can go a bit overboard at times.
Who wakes up first: Maxie usually, though Archie somehow never fails to wake up soon after Maxie does. He likes to joke that Maxie is his alarm clock.
Who comforts who the most: They both comfort each other about equally, each with their own methods to cheer the other up.
The cuddler: Archie! He’s pretty big on physical affection, though Maxie will cuddle up to him if they’re near by. Not quite cuddling, but more like just sitting very close so they’re pressed up together.
The big spoon: Archie, usually.

Clingyshipping!

How they first met: Their first meeting was when Barry tried to convince Dawn to go into the tall grass without their own pokémon and were stopped by Professor Rowan. Lucas was, of course, assisting the professor and exchanged introductions with Barry and Dawn at the time. They don’t get to know each other that well until after the Galactic fiasco, however.
Where their first date was: Barry asked Lucas out when the two met up at the Resort Area after quite a while stewing in his crush. They went to a small food stand to grab something to go and spent the time wandering around the town, chatting about their interests.
When they had their first kiss: They had their first kiss on their fourth date. Barry was walking Lucas back to Rowan’s Lab after the date so he could finish up some work, but before he went inside, Lucas gave Barry a quick peck on the lips then dashed inside, leaving Barry bright red and flustered outside.
Who cooks: Both of them! The two are both pretty good cooks, but have different styles, so they like to mix it up by alternating who cooks when. This also helps since they both have pretty busy schedules, so neither one has to worry about having to always cook. They’ll order takeout if both are too tired to cook though – pizza is a family favorite.
Who proposed: While Barry was the one to first ask Lucas out, Lucas was the one to propose. He went all out, too – took Barry to a fancy restaurant in Jubilife, got a nice meal, then went for a walk. He proposed on one of the most famous overlooks in the city, which has beautiful views over all the lights. Barry was so excited he tackle-hugged Lucas and nearly knocked the two of them over the edge of the outlook.
The dominate one: The two of them are pretty evenly split on who is more dominant. Barry tends to be more impulsive and is the one to encourage Lucas to try new and wild things, while Lucas is more dominant in the reason department, usually finding more obscure activities for them to do together. They compliment each other very well that way.
Their favorite pass time together: Exploring new places. It could be the wilderness, a new restaurant or shop in the city, or simply a new activity or hobby. Both of them love trying new things, whether it ends up as a new favorite place/thing or a total disaster. If it goes badly, at least they have a good story.
Who kissed who first: Lucas kissed Barry!
Who is the flirt: Lucas, most of the time. Barry has his moments, but Lucas is very smooth in his flirtations and can compliment and flirt with Barry just as casually as regular conversation. Barry tends to get flustered when it comes to overly romantic or flirtatious gestures, so even if he tries, he’ll end up embarrassing himself with his own comments. Lucas likes to tease him.
Who is the romantic: Also Lucas. Just like he can casually flirt, he’s great at being casually romantic, setting up candlelit dinners, buying flowers for Barry, things like that. When Barry wants to be romantic, however, he goes all out. One time he got skywriting for their anniversary that said ‘Lucas + Barry 4 Ever’. Lucas definitely laughed at that but he was so charmed he couldn’t help but adore how earnest his husband was.
Who wakes up first: Barry, usually. Lucas is quite the deep sleeper and needs to set multiple alarms to make sure he wakes up on time. Barry tends to ping awake early in the morning and gets up to make himself a cup of coffee or a light breakfast. He’s learned not to try and wake Lucas though, since his husband can be really grumpy in the mornings.
Who comforts who the most: Barry is the more emotional one who tends to need more consoling and comforting, so Lucas usually takes that role in the relationship. He’s quite good at pampering to help Barry feel better. All the same, whenever Lucas is upset or feeling down, Barry is great at cheering him up with a cheesy movie, a tub of ice cream and a funny story.
The cuddler: Barry for sure. He’s very physically affectionate and likes to wrap himself around Lucas whenever they’re cuddling or sharing space together. Lucas compares Barry to a Chimchar clinging to a tree, which Barry finds a little bit insulting considering Chimchar was his starter and all. Lucas loves how affectionate Barry is though, considering he likes being cuddled, so it all works out.
The big spoon: Usually Barry! Since Lucas likes being cuddled and Barry likes cuddling their spooning situation is almost always Barry as the big spoon and Lucas as the little spoon. Barry usually ends up wrapping his arms and legs around Lucas like a Komala as well.

2, 12, and 22 for Draco (for the ask meme thing?) ✨

2. Their emotional/moral weak spots

Draco’s biggest weak spot is that he isn’t as in control as he thinks he is. Draco likes to believe that he’s in full control of his emotions, dismissing any unwanted outbursts as aberrations. This leads to him not realizing how badly he can hurt others, because he thinks he’s being reasonable and normal for himself, while anyone else would see that he was acting emotionally and irrationally. Draco is actually very self-conscious, so he has a tendency to block out criticism in an effort to avoid taking a hit to his self-esteem. Essentially, he tries to cope with everything by retreating further inward to his own fantasy-perception of the world, which just amplifies the image of a callous, angry, jerk that many people see him as.

While he does hurt others’ feelings and breaks quite a few hearts, he still has a moral compass, of course, actually a quite strict one. Draco doesn’t tolerate injustice from others (which is quite ironic) and will go out of his way to stop a crime from happening if he sees it, not caring about what others might be doing to help. As a result, he can be quite reckless and put himself in danger. Draco has been more aware of these weak spots more recently, however, since he started therapy and has steps to avoid falling back into the same bad habits and destructive thought patterns as he used to.

12.  Grudges and vendettas

Draco can hold a mean grudge. His most significant one is against Ethan, his father. He resents Ethan for being a part of his life, yet never revealing his true relationship to his son, as if Draco couldn’t easily tell that Ethan was his father. He also has a tendency to concoct wild scenarios regarding Ethan’s relationship with Lance, most of them as full on scandalous soap opera as he can think up. He doesn’t like how, when Ethan found out that Draco knew their relationship, he tried to become a father figure to him. Part of this is that Draco is very close with Lance and sees Ethan as intruding on their father-son relationship, another part is that he hates that he was deceived, even if his parents thought it was for the best. Despite Ethan’s many efforts to try and make amends with Draco, he remains stubborn in being distant with his father.

Draco also holds somewhat of a grudge against his exes, for more of an irrational reason than his grudge against Ethan. A lot of the problems with Draco’s past relationships was a failure to communicate, mainly on his end. He would have been only interested in a casual, no-strings-attached, short term relationship, but would be oblivious to if his partner had more serious intentions. When Draco eventually decided to move on from the relationship, his partners were often upset that he didn’t share their feelings or communicate what he wanted from the relationship properly, and there were a lot of really bad fights and inevitable bad blood. While he can look back on his past relationships and see that he was at fault, Draco also holds somewhat of a grudge against his exes, especially the ones who now hate him. He sort of thinks that, since he’s been able to move past the breakup with minimal hard feelings, they should too. “Now that I’ve turned over a new leaf, can’t bygones be bygones?” This grudge is the main reason he doesn’t inform Cypress that he has a son, which later comes back to bite him in the ass.

22.

People who’ve influenced them greatly

Probably the most important person to Draco growing up was his father, Lance. As his only (to his knowledge) parent, Lance was the pillar of Draco’s world, his role-model, his inspiration, his protector. Draco’s sense of justice comes from Lance, as does his temper. The two are quite similar, in no small part due to their close relationship. Despite all his grudges and dislike for his home during his ‘Wild Years’, Draco never resents Lance. He understands why Lance is overprotective of him and indulges the man, even when he sends one of his Dragonite to check in on Draco when’s he travelling the world every once and a while. Draco knows he wouldn’t be the person he is without his father, and he will freely admit Lance is basically his hero.

The other major influence in Draco’s life was a briefer encounter. While he hated the lecture he got from Maia at the time, losing to her and hearing her opinion on his character was the first event that prompted him to reexamine his behavior and realize that he maybe needed to change his ways and/or get some help. It wasn’t immediate, but she put the thought in his head, which later helped him when he decided to return home and settle down. Draco later writes Maia a thank-you, and she actually flies out to Johto to see him in person and express how glad she is he’s doing better. Of course, she probably won’t ever be on friendly terms with Draco since he hurt her brother, but she respects him for making the effort to better himself, which is no small feat.

My bias is too strong, so Draco with 4, 9, 15, 16, 20?

4.

Best places to kiss on their body

Draco prefers to be the dominant one in relationships, so perhaps as a result he can be quite sensitive to others kissing him. His weak spot is the entire region from his jaw to his collarbone, so any kisses there tend to make him a bit weak in the knees. Addie likes to joke he must have secret fantasies about sleeping with a vampire considering how much he likes being kissed/bitten on the neck. Draco finds this ridiculous and actually starts wearing high-collared jackets and shirts once he realizes his weak spot, both to ‘protect’ it and cover up the inevitable marks he gets there. Aside from his neck, his second most sensitive kissing spot is his thighs, but he rarely lets anyone take advantage of that.

9. Humiliating memories

Though he likes to appear confident and put together, Draco is actually quite self-conscious, so he has a number of embarrassing (even if only to him) memories. One of them is when, during his first hookup with Florian, the other man completely turned the tables on him and ended up being the top. Draco was so flustered by the entire situation that he lost all composure and (in his opinion) made a fool of himself. He was embarrassed enough that he just left Florian with no word for a few weeks after that until Flor contacted him again. Then the fact that Draco agreed to hookup again was another embarrassment since he had been determined not to give in and do something humiliating again.

Another embarrassing memory is when he was in Hoenn and got into a fight with Maia about his treatment of her younger brother, Apollon. Draco was confident he could beat the older woman in a pokémon battle and made a big show of how he was going to crush her without breaking a sweat, but in the end he got utterly trounced by her, only managing to take down two of her pokémon before being defeated. The loss was so hard on him and so humiliating that he locked himself in his hotel room for a few days until Maia came by to give him some stern life advice, though that was embarrassing for Draco as well, since not only did he lose horribly to her, he also ended up getting lectured like a little kid.

15. What it takes to make them cry

Draco cries surprisingly easily, mostly when he’s frustrated or angry. He hates this trait and suppresses it whenever he can, often going off by himself if he feels the tears starting up. He hates anything that contradicts the ‘suave, aggressive, confident, bad boy’ persona he’s built up around himself, and that includes crying when he’s upset. When he’s around people he trusts though, like family, he’s a bit freer with his emotions, and Addie has found him in tears because he couldn’t open a jar before. She finds it rather endearing, that there’s a somewhat sensitive guy under all the rough exterior.

16. Dark secrets/’skeletons in the closet’

Draco has two big secrets, so to speak. The first is that he found out Ethan was his father when he was fairly young, but never told anyone he knew. Lance and Ethan wanted to keep Draco’s parentage a secret to avoid conflict, but Draco was able to figure out that his dad’s close friend who was always around and also looked a bit like him was his father pretty quickly. Draco immediately assumed the worst case and most dramatic scenarios he could think of as to why his parents kept his parentage a secret, so he grew to be somewhat resentful of Ethan as a result, refusing to talk with him and the like. This does eventually get cleared up when Draco’s older, however, though he never has a super close relationship with Ethan, despite the latter’s efforts.

The other big secret is that Noel’s other father is Cypress. Now, the majority of Draco’s family and friends back in Johto know vaguely who Noel’s other parent is, but Draco never tells Cypress. He doesn’t seem to realize the irony of the situation, that it’s similar to what happened between him and Ethan. Cypress will eventually find out he has a son, however, and when he does there will a be lot of drama for everyone involved.

20. What-ifs/Alternate Timelines

The original incarnation of Draco had a completely different personality and backstory to the current one. He was the son of Lance and his random oc wife and was meant to be a foil to Adelinda. Adelinda was the serious, no-nonsense cousin and Draco was meant to be more laid back and mischievous, sort of a ‘prankster bro’ type of character. Adelinda would be annoyed that her easygoing cousin was the clan heir instead of her and the two would have a conflict over that, though Draco would eventually prove he was a competent leader despite his unorthodox methods.

As Lance’s story changed, however, so did Draco’s. The rough order of when I added things went something like 1) What if Lance’s wife was dead, 2) What if Lance had another kid before Draco who was also dead, 3) What if Lance had a tragic childhood and was the kid of a dragon-god, 4) What if Lance’s dead wife was Liza, 5) What if there was a Faller Noelle? The former Draco just didn’t make sense after all these changes, so the moody disaster man we have today came to be.

Renato with 5, 6, 13, 17, 20?

5. Guilty pleasures

Renato is a hopeless romantic. He adores romance novels, romcoms, dating sims, the works. He’ll never admit this though. He thinks liking the romance genre makes him too ‘soft’ so he keeps this passion a complete secret from all but his closest friends and family. Even then, they usually find out by accident and Renato makes them swear to keep the secret. He has many Harlequin novels downloaded on his PokéGear that he reads during idle time as well as a number of mobile dating sims to occupy his time. He’s even spent money on those apps to get the events faster. He hates when he’s travelling and can’t keep up with his shows. He also hates spoilers and will get really angry at people who talk about his favorite romance tv shows in his hearing, which usually confuses them considering Renato keeps his like for those things on the down low.

Renato also loves bikes. Now, usually this wouldn’t fall under the guilty pleasure category for him, but he considers his level of love for motorcycles to be a bit ‘childish’. He wants to look cool by showing of his own bike and riding it around, but he wouldn’t be caught dead admiring bikes in a store or a magazine or making sound effects while fantasizing about being out on the road. While it’s to a lesser degree, Renato also likes all kinds of transportation – fancy cars, trains, etc. He considers this hobby to be even more childish than liking just motorcycles, so he refuses to tell anyone about it. He isn’t quite as passionate about cars and the like as he is about romances though, so it’s a bit easier for him to keep secret.

One of the only people Renato feels completely at ease around regarding his guilty pleasures is his boyfriend, Euphie. In fact, Renato and Euphie often watch romantic movies together and make a date of it. He knows Euphie won’t judge him for his passions and so feels totally at ease letting loose. Euphie is fine with Renato’s love of romance and finds it quite cute. He’s less enthusiastic about Renato making motorcycle noises in the bedroom, however.

6. Their vices (physical or emotional)

Renato has a tendency to act out against authority, or more accurately, to do what he wants regardless of it’s legality. While this is somewhat expected since he’s from a criminal family, it’s more of an issue in that his disregard for the rules can be dangerous to himself and others. Even as a child, if Renato wanted something or had a problem, he would try to solve things himself first before even considering going to an adult for help. This often led to him getting into trouble he couldn’t get out of, like the time he tried to walk to Ecruteak by himself to visit his friend Yuusuke and ended up getting lost. Renato tends to hate getting help, especially when it means getting the job done by himself, so his disregard for authority can lead to plenty of issues.  Renato doesn’t have any serious physical vices, but he does smoke occasionally. However, Euphie hates this, so Renato manages to quit once they start dating.

13. What gets them flustered

Renato might project the persona of the calm, collected, bad-boy, but the truth is he’s very easily flustered. It only takes a bit of flirting to get him to turn bright red, especially if the flirting is a bit dirtier in nature. Anything remotely suggestive will fluster Renato immensely, which Euphie loves to take advantage of to tease him in public. Even out of public, Renato’s reactions are just the same. He’s quite sensitive to touch, so one of the ways Euphie likes to tease him is whisper flirtily to him to fluster him, then gently touch his back or face and watch him jump at the contact and grow even more undone. While I won’t get to nsfw here, I’ll just say that Euphie takes that little game a lot further when the two get intimate. Renato is so embarrassed by his sensitivity and blames it on his romance obsession, not that it stops him from consuming the genre. Euphie just thinks it’s one of the many things that makes his boyfriend so adorable.

17. Regrets

While he usually is very confident in his decision to leave home, Renato does sometimes regret it. He left on a bad note with his family – after an argument with his father that he didn’t follow up on for a long while. He often feels like he ran away from his responsibilities and that he let down his family. He especially regrets not saying goodbye to Lyra and Celeste, since he always got along pretty well with them even when his relationship with Silvio was a bit strained. Renato enjoys his life with his grandfathers in Unova, especially since he got to meet Euphie there, but he misses Johto quite a bit – the food, the nature, and just the general vibes of the region. Once he gets in touch with his family and begins to reconcile with them, however, most of his regrets fade and he becomes more confident and at ease with his current situation.

20. What-ifs/Alternate Timelines

There was an alternate timeline (that might still be a thing) where Team Mythic makes themselves known much earlier than they do in the ‘canon’ AU. In this scenario, most of the parents die and the fankids have to live on the run as outcasts or criminals. It’s all very dark and rather based on Fire Emblem: Awakening (especially since there’s a timetravel subplot as well). In this timeline, Renato stays in Johto and takes over the Campanula family when his parents are killed. He starts wearing a mask all the time and is much more withdrawn and cold than his ‘canon’ self. This impacts his relationship with Celeste as well. In the ‘canon’ timeline, the two are a bit distant but get along well, but in this one, Renato alienates his sister just as much as he does everyone else. Eventually, the plan was for Celeste to die (protecting him or something) and for Renato to realize how much she meant to him and how he should have been there for her only after she’s gone. Like I said, the whole thing is very angsty and I’m glad it’s not canon – but this was a direction the AU could have gone when I was first conceptualizing it.

Tbh, I just want to know more about his tragic backstory, so Lance with 2, 8, 12, 16, 19, 20?

2. Their emotional/moral weak spots

Lance has a heavy reliance on having others to back him up while he’s performing his Champion duties or making decisions. He grew up being isolated by his peers and manipulated by the one person who didn’t treat him like he was unwanted, so he tends to have a bit of a weird relationship with people as an adult. His major ‘weak spot’ so to speak is that he desperately craves validation, even if he’s very good at hiding this. He needs to know that people support him for his decisions and that he isn’t taking any actions that might drive others away from him. As such, he’s actually quite easy to manipulate if you get him alone. Without his backup (Elite Four, family members, etc) he’s especially vulnerable since he has trouble making decisions without knowing he has support. Someone could pretty easily get him to do what they want by setting up validation as a reward.

Lance is fully aware of this weakness, and takes all the steps he can to ensure he’s never in such a situation. Another weakness of his is his temper. Lance can react strongly to certain situations, especially any that involve injustice or giving anyone a similar treatment that he suffered as a child. In these situations, his temper can get out of control and he can react extremely (Hyper Beaming a Rocket Grunt, anyone?). Making sure he doesn’t react too strongly to a situation is also something that Lance relies on his peers for. He knows he can become irrational, so he counts on them to keep him from doing anything too destructive. As it’s pretty obvious at this point, Lance heavily relies on others to cover his own weak spots, so really, that’s another weak spot itself. He tries to be aware of and cover his weaknesses, but there’s only so much he can do.

8. Bad memories/experiences

Lance has quite a lot of these, sadly. His childhood was just rough in general, so it can be hard for him to pick just one bad memory out of the whole bunch. One that does stand out, however, was from when he was around 6 or 7. This was before he had first met Kouka who, despite their manipulations, does care for Lance as their son and were a bright spot in his otherwise dismal childhood. However, for this memory, Draco had never met Kouka. For background, Lance was technically an illegitimate child who was left on the Fusube Clan compound’s doorstep after his father had had an affair with the dragon god Kouka. Being very traditional, the Fusube Clan is very wary of supernatural beings/youkai, not to mention the stigma of being an illegitimate child, so Lance was pretty much the epitome of ‘scary possibly demon child who might bring ruin to us.’ Kouka didn’t want the clan to know that Lance was their son, since for their plan to work Lance needed to be isolated and easy to manipulate. As such, for most of his childhood, Lance was treated like an outcast by his family – kept hidden away, not allowed to participate in events, or play with other children. His pokemon, and later Kouka, were his only friends (with Clair being an ‘almost friend’, though they didn’t grow closer until later).

With the background established, this memory is just one of many similar circumstances, but it stands out in Lance’s memory for one reason or another. The Fusube clan was having a large feast and party to celebrate a seasonal festival, and the compound was full of merriment and cheer. Lance was confined to his room for this, since his family didn’t want the ‘demon child’ to ruin things and bring bad luck. Lance was still young enough he didn’t fully understand why he wasn’t allowed to do things with everyone else, so he decided to sneak out and try and catch a bit of the fun. However, he got caught, and rather than put him back in his room where he could just get out again, his uncle threw him into a shed and locked the door, saying that it was his punishment for disobeying his elders. Lance was terrified of being in the dark, unable to get out, and without even his pokemon for company. It wasn’t the last time he was locked away as punishment either, which is the root of his fears of isolation and claustrophobia.

While this is a bad childhood memory, the worst experience/memory for Lance is undoubtedly when Noelle died, however. I’ve discussed it a little bit previously, but the whole situation was a nightmare and still weighs heavily on Lance to this day, both in the physical scars (Noelle’s death, his and Adelinda’s injuries) and the mental ones.

12. Grudges and vendettas

Lance has a serious grudge against pretty much anyone older than him in the Fusube-Mikami clans. They treated him horribly when he was young, but as soon as his true heritage was revealed and he became Champion, they changed their tune and claimed he was their ‘prodigy son’ who couldn’t have made it without them. He hates the way they just changed their tune depending on what made them look good and doesn’t trust them as far as he can throw them. Lance tries to avoid interacting with the clan elders when at all possible and, when he does have to, he needs a mediator, usually Clair, to ensure that things don’t get violent. He also strongly encourages Draco not to interact with them either.

This is pretty significant because, in other circumstances, Lance is very forgiving. He can see the good and bad sides in people and wants to help them even when others have given up. He even reconciles with Kouka, who is partially responsible for his childhood and wanted him to wipe out humanity for their own grudge. However, the one group that Lance will never forgive, or even attempt to reconcile with, is the elders who were directly responsible for his mistreatment.

16. Dark secrets/’skeletons in the closet’

Lance tends to be pretty transparent with is flaws, issues, and backstory, since he knows that keeping stuff hidden can be disastrous. However, he does have a few ‘dark secrets’ so to speak. One that is a bit less ‘dark’ is his decision to keep Draco’s parentage from him. This was a decision he made with Ethan, however, so it’s not all on him, even if it is one of the factors that leads to Draco growing estranged later on. A larger one, and a more vague one, so-to-speak, is that he still hates humanity a little bit, even though he claims he no longer shares Kouka’s opinions. He has moments where he sees the worst in people, or feels like he has no one left who cares about him (his wife and daughter are dead and his son is estranged for a while) and that maybe, just maybe, he would be happier if he had gone along with Kouka’s plan and created a world where just pokemon and supernatural beings could leave, free from the prejudices of humans. Whenever these thoughts come up, Lance is always immediately ashamed he would even think that, and reassures himself that because he had a negative reaction to the thoughts, they must not be his true feelings. He never tells anyone about this, however, since he doesn’t want people to think he’s still a ‘possible threat’ to the League.

19. People they’ve hurt or indirectly killed, and how it affected them

While working with Kouka, Lance did seriously injure/possibly kill some Team Rocket grunts during the era of Red’s journey. He never got the point in Kouka’s plan where they were actually killing people, but he saw no qualms in killing ‘evil’ people like Team Rocket. He didn’t think about it much at the time, but after he realizes how terrible Kouka’s plan is and sort of has the veil lifted from his eyes, so-to-speak, he’s horrified at what he’s done. He never thought about the consequences of killing people before that and when it does hit him, it hits him hard. After this, he makes a vow to never kill again, even in self defense. As such, even when taking down TR for a second time, he roughs up a few grunts, but is careful to never seriously injure them. He’d rather try and scare them straight than never give them the chance to find a better life.

20. What-ifs/Alternate Timelines

In case it isn’t obvious, my Lance draws some fairly heavy inspiration from his Pokemon Adventures counterpart, so for a version of him who never changed his ways and continued with Kouka’s plan, look no further than that manga. Lance could very easily have gone full villain if it weren’t for Kohaku helping him see the good in people, which he is fully aware of.

Another alternate version of Lance is the one from Faller Noelle’s universe. This Lance is definitely a lot happier, considering that his wife and daughter are still alive and, as much as it’s mean to say, his problem child Draco doesn’t exist. All the same, this Lance might not be so quick to react in a situation as his more tragic counterpart, especially when Team Mystic starts acting up. I don’t think in this case there’s a ‘better’ version, even if one is happier.

Maddie for B5, if that’s okay?

Madrigal Sophia Aretha Harmonia Montfort, or Maddie as she’s more commonly known, is the daughter and oldest child of Rosa and Curtis Montfort. She has a younger brother named Aster (who is a little troll) and is also the cousin of Euphie, Tipha, Oliver, and Elliot (second cousin to Eban and Avoria). Maddie is a determined and ambitious young woman, who can sometimes be seen as a bit too serious or uncompromising, focusing on her goals above all else and occasionally unintentionally hurting others on her way to the top. Maddie’s dream is to one day be Unova Champion and she can suffer a bit of tunnel vision in pursuit of that goal. She can also be prone to anger and control issues, losing her temper when her plans go awry and trying to get people to behave the way she wants. Despite this, her intentions are good and she honestly doesn’t want to come across as too controlling – she just has trouble expressing her desires. She has been unfavorably compared to her grandfather, Ghetsis, before, which is the absolute last thing she wants, so she tries to distance herself from that image at all costs. While she is adamant about avoiding ‘distractions’ like hobbies, her best friend Mindy always drags her into things, especially idol related things, which Maddie claims to hate with a passion. All the same, she doesn’t complain too much when Mindy convinces her to perform in a duet with her. She certainly has a playful side as well, being prone to snarky comments and deadpan humor, which can come as a surprise to those who only know the serious, no-nonsense side of her. That being said, Maddie is also very protective and close with her family, even if she’s a bit awkward about expressing it.

Draco in 5B cause he’s my fav

image

The trashy man himself – I had to get this done once you posted the art of Hale since they’re brothers who both rebel and fight everyone. Normally I would write a bit about Draco down here, but I’ve done posts about him before. Looks like in this pic he’s about to fight someone, so he’s right in his element. It was kind of hard trying to figure out how to draw his hair from the front, but I think this turned out nicely. I honestly love to draw Draco: his hair is fun to draw, his outfit is fun to draw, and tbh he’s just a fun character to work on in general, so thanks for the ask!! We love our trash son!!!

Tanith for 1, 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 please!

1. What’s their full name? Why was that chosen? Does it mean anything?

Tanith doesn’t have a middle name since they aren’t really used in Sinnoh, so her full name is just Tanith Moireach. However, she does have a secret ‘true’ name from her father that only she and her parents know. As for Tanith, I’m not sure how much pokémon world mythology overlaps with our own (there is that one Aqua Grunt who mentions Poseidon after all), but Tanith is an alternate spelling of Tanit, who is a Punic and Phoenician goddess. She is equivalent to the goddess Astarte (and by extension, Ishtar) which are the names of her cousin and her cousin’s cousin. The three of them are sort of a next-gen Creation Trio, hence the matching names. I chose Tanith in particular for Dawn and Jeshir’s daughter since the goddess is associated with war and serpents, which both suit the child of (technically, sort of) Giratina.

10. Do they like children? Do children like them? Do they have or want any children? What would they be like as a parent? Or as a godparent/babysitter/ect?

Tanith gets along fine with children. She tends to treat them like little adults, so sometimes she’ll slip up and curse or say inappropriate things in front of them. The kids usually like this, but their parents not so much. She probably wouldn’t be too good of a babysitter as a result, but if she’s just hanging out with younger kids she’s fine. As a teenager herself, she hasn’t really given much thought to having kids in the future. She is aware of her unusual heritage, so is perhaps a bit against the idea of having kids since she has no idea how they’d turn out. She’d probably be a good parent though – the ‘fun’ kind who tells her kids like it is and lets them stay up late and the like. More likely, she wouldn’t have kids though, and would be an aunty to all her friends’ kids.

20. Do they like musicals? Music in general? What do they do when they’re favourite song comes?

Tanith, a lover of all things retro, loves older music from the 90s. She’s a bit of a hipster, but not enough to use and old mp3 player or anything, though in general most of her favorite music is from a good 30 or so years before she was born. Tanith loves to dance and will always start jamming out when any of her favorite songs comes on. She’ll sing along most of the time as well. As for musicals, she wouldn’t consider herself a fan of the play itself, but she does like a lot of music from musicals on its own.

30. Do they exercise? Regularly? Or only when forced? What do they act like pre-work out and post-work out?

Tanith tries to regularly work out! Staying in shape is important to her, so she tries to hit the gym at least a few times a week. She’s one of those people who manages to look flawless after working out and is energetic even after a hefty dose of exercise. Her favorite work out is jogging, either on the streets or nature trails or on the treadmill. Post-workout, she usually takes a long shower then eats a good meal. She tends to work out in the mornings, so usually she’ll eat breakfast after finishing her run.

40. Do they like energy drinks? Coffee? Sugary food? Or can they naturally stay awake and alert?

Tanith loves sweets of all kinds and they’re one of her vices for sure. She’s not a huge fan of coffee (she hates bitter things), but energy drinks are useful to her when she needs to stay up late. She’s very much an ‘early to bed, early to rise’ kind of person, so anything with caffeine or sugar in it is a must if she needs to stay up late. Even if she doesn’t, she’s probably going to eat lots of sugary things anyways. Her favorite candies are licorice and sour gummy worms.

50. If they could only take one bag of stuff somewhere with them: what would they pack? What do they consider their essentials?

Aside from items she could wear, like her favorite windbreaker, Tanith would probably pack a good amount of sweets, her favorite magazines, her Pokétch, the essentials like a change of clothes and her toiletries, a bunch of scrunchies for her hair, her makeup, the blanket her grandparents made for her when she was a baby, and her workout gear (sneakers, etc).
