I’ll ask about Georgia and Luke’s children then! Have you thought about what they look like and what kind of trainers they are?

Sure thing!

Luke and Georgia have two children, Siegfried and Brynhild. Their parents decided to name them after characters in an epic fantasy movie they both love because honestly they’re both kinda huge nerds (even if Georgia doesn’t like to admit it). Sieg is the older brother by 6 years and has auburn hair (similar shade to Luke’s but has a reddish tinge from Georgia’s pink) and blue eyes. He’s currently off on a journey to study rare pokémon. Much to his mother’s dismay, he loves dragons the most, but the two still get along fairly well despite their differences. Sieg is rarely home, but he has a tendency of sending back fossils, strange eggs, and other things he finds on his travels. He sort of works as a field researcher for Nate, who is a professor in this universe.

Bryn is a coordinator and a primarily ice-type trainer. She has Georgia’s dark pink hair and blue eyes. She was inspired to train ice types both by her mother, and by Brycen, who is one of her favorite actors and someone she’s met a few times before as her parents both work in the film industry. Bryn is also really into fairy tales and legends and is a fencer. She wants to be like a knight from all her favorite stories so while she does mainly train ice-types, she also trains steel and fairy types as well. Her stage name is the ‘Radiant Valkyrie.’ Her starter is an Alolan Ninetails her brother sent back as an egg from his travels in Alola. Bryn is also Mindy’s (Hugh and Yancy’s daughter) biggest rival. The two can’t stand each other and always fight whenever they meet up.

That’s about all I know about these two for now, but it was fun working on them! Thanks for the ask!

Tell me about what happens with my boy, Ethan! Or my actual best boy, Hilbert (or really just whichever male protag you feel like talking about more, I ain’t picky)?

Or I could do both!
The female protagonists are canon in my universe, so Ethan and Hilbert are closer to minor characters this time around.

Ethan is Lyra’s childhood friend and grew up in New Bark with her. His father works for the Elm Laboratory as a researcher, but Ethan’s always been more interested in following his grandparents’ work at the day care. He wasn’t super involved in the whole Team Rocket plot, though he did help take down a few grunts in Goldenrod during the radio takeover. He doesn’t really see himself as much of a trainer, preferring to raise and take care of pokémon rather than battle with them. He eventually starts working full time at the day care and visiting Goldenrod frequently, which is how he and Whitney started dating. The two eventually got married, but had difficulty conceiving a child, so they decided to adopt Carmen. She’s their only child, but the two of them have plenty of work on their hands running the Day Care together as Ethan took it over from his grandparents. Whitney ends up retiring from her Gym Leader job as well to work full time at the Day Care, which she enjoys more than running a Gym if she’s honest. Ethan is still best friends with Lyra and gets along pretty well with Silvio as well. Renato and Celeste consider him an uncle figure.

Hibert is Hilda’s younger twin brother in this universe. When Hilda went on her Gym Challenge journey, Hilbert decided to pursue a career in the acting industry instead, as a talent scout. He got an internship at a talent agency in Nimbasa and still works there full time today. In fact, he later helps his cousin Rosa kick start her own acting career. After all the Legendary Pokémon return to their human forms, Hilbert ends up hosting Albin (one of the Twin Heroes of Unovan Legend) at his apartment in Nimbasa until he could find a job and place to live. He’s worked with all sorts of people before and has great interpersonal skills, hence why he volunteered to host Albin. What he didn’t expect was the two of them to end up falling in love during this time. In the end, the two of them just clicked personality wise and found they had a lot of shared interests. Albin never did move out as he had started dating Hilbert, but he does find work at a local library, eventually getting a full time job as an archivist and historian, which he loves. Hilbert still lives in Nimbasa with his husband and their twins, Eban and Avoria. He’s close with his family, both Hilda and her husband and kids and his cousins Rosa and Nate and their families. Hilbert’s kind of the node of their network, the one who’s house everyone ends up at and who organizes a lot of family get togethers. He’s a very social guy so loves networking with everyone.

!!! what kind of supernatural beings are there in your world??? id love to know more!!!!

There are all sorts! Some are much more well known than others. First of all: mages. I wouldn’t say that they would count as ‘supernatural creatures’ since they’re essentially people with magic powers, but they do exist! Mages are a small portion of the population and their magic essentially deals with the soul. I’ll do a longer post on them next week since it would take up way too much space to discuss the magic system of this world in whole here.

Next up – well-known non-human species. There are two that everyone knows about and are well integrated into society. The most prominent would be dragonbloods. I would say maybe about 5% of the population are dragonblood? But don’t quote me on that, it’s not finalized yet haha. Dragonbloods are essentially what they sound like: humans with a touch of dragon blood in them. Their origin is kind of unknown and each clan has their own origin story ranging from being blessed by dragon gods to being descended from them. They look mostly human, but have pointed ears, small fangs, and vertical pupils. They have different internal workings from humans as well; they live longer (130-150 years is typical), have different immune systems, and are more resilient to the elements (aside from the cold, which they are sensitive to). Historically, they have typically been rulers and upper-class citizens, a trend that has continued to the modern day with many Champions being dragonbloods, including Lance Fusube, Wallace Lu, Cynthia Drakonova, and Iris Pendragon. Dragonbloods are considered a subspecies of humans but they don’t really like that. You can think of them as the ‘stuck up fantasy elves’ of this world haha.

And the last ‘well-known’ supernatural species would be the Malachim. These guys are full-on supernatural no where near human in any aspect. Their history is kind of interesting, essentially this race is a remnant of a millennia-old disagreement between two ancient brother-deities. The ancestors of the Malachim were a race created by these two gods and essentially served as aids/intermediaries for them – these gods were big back their day and had so many worshipers they needed helpers to communicate with everyone. Eventually, however, the two brothers had a fight that resulted in two factions – their messengers being split in loyalties between their two masters. The god that won banished his brother and all the messengers who sided with him to the mortal realm as punishment and from those exiled messengers the Malach race came to be. Somewhere between mortal and divine, the modern descendants of those original exiled messengers tend to live in nomadic tribes on the fringes of society, preferring not to interact with ‘mortals’. They are a mono-gender race, appearing physically similar to human males and reproduce asexually through magic (though they can reproduce the ‘traditional’ way with human females, the resulting children are creatively known as ‘half-malachim’). There are probably other species of semi-divine origin similar to them, but these guys are the only extensively known ones.

Of course, there are dozens and dozens of ‘unconfirmed’ beings. Supernatural folk who are only known through legends and scattered reports. They exist, I can confirm that, but to the average person of this AU, they’re closer to cryptids – beings that might be real but also might not. Think of any supernatural creature or being from any folklore around the world, chances are a similar being exists in secret in this world.

Would any of your kids be benders (atla/lok style) and if they are, who would be the Avatar?

For the Main Kids (I base this on personality/backstory rather than in the context of the AtLA/LoK world):
Sage: Earthbender
Amaryllis: Some kind of spirit
Renato: Firebender
Celeste: Firebender
Levi: Waterbender
Solomon: Firebender
Eve: Nonbender
Rhys: Airbender
Joseph: Nonbender
Tanith: Again, maybe a spirit of some sort
Emery: Earthbender
Euphie: Airbender
Tipha: Airbender
Oliver: Airbender
Maddie: Nonbender
Aster: Waterbender
Mindy: Firebender
Blake: Earthbender
Gwennie: Waterbender
Aurélie: Airbender
Thomas: Airbender
Odette: Nonbender
Xavier: Nonbender
Yvon: Nonbender
Florian: Firebender
Primrose: Waterbender
Enzian: Waterbender
Weiss: Waterbender

What do Enzian and Primrose look like and what are some of their main Pokemon? And what are their relationships like with their parents (Lonashipping is life so I was stoked to see more fankids for them <3)!

Primrose and Enzian both have black hair like their mother (I went with the default look for Selene) and green eyes like their father. Primrose wears her hair in a bob and prefers cute fashion in pastel colors. Her main color scheme is sky blue and white. In fact, when she was younger, she wore her hair long and looked an awful lot like her aunt Lillie! Enzian inherited his father’s cowlick and seems to have perpetually messy hair. He doesn’t really care much what he wears, since he’s usually running around outdoors and getting dirty. His jeans seem to always have tears in the knees.

Both Prim and Enzian are dark mages (mediums, have an affinity for ghosts, etc) which they inherited from their mother. While Enzian loves ghosts and exploring haunted places, Primrose is terribly afraid of them. I know that part of her character arc is learning to overcome that fear, which is why I gave her Rowlet as a starter, since it eventually gains a ghost typing when it evolves. I also know that Enzian has a Mimikyu who he likes to play pranks with. Since the two of them are both too young to go on their journeys at the current point of the story, I’m not sure what their other pokémon will be!

Gladion is a stay-at-home dad in my ‘verse, so I think both the kids get along better with him just because they are more used to him. However, they definitely love their mother as well, and look forward to the times when she comes home from her busy work as champion. I will say that Selene and Primrose have a bit of a strained relationship, though. Prim feels like she can’t connect to her mother because of her fear of ghosts and Selene’s close relationship with them. She fears that she has little in common with her mother and that she won’t be able to grow close with her as a result. This fear also impacts her relationship with her little brother, since Enzian is quite different from her as well. I would say that Gladion is the family member Primrose is closest with. Enzian gets along equally with all of them, since he’s the type of kid who is very easy going and can make friends with anyone. Enzian is also particularly close with his cousin, Kou, and the two hang out pretty frequently. Primrose is best friends with Kiele (Kiawe and Mallow’s daughter) and Victoria (Lana and Sophocles’ daughter) and the three of them are very tight-knit childhood friends.

Multiples of five for Tanith please!

5) Race?

Ok, this one’s a little tricky. In Pokémon world terms, Tanith is, in terms of species, a demigod. Disregarding the whole ‘divine parent’ thing, she would be half-malaki. In terms of race, well, she’s a quarter Sinnohan and a quarter Albanese from her mother’s side and half-malaki from her father’s side. In our world terms, she would be a quarter Russian, a quarter Scottish and half….. divine being of Middle Eastern origin???? It’s complicated.

10)

What do they want to be when they grow up/what do they want to do with their lives?

Tanith isn’t quite sure yet what she wants to do with her life, hence why she’s decided to be both a competitive trainer and a coordinator. She likes a challenge, so any future career would have to be one that pushes her to take risks and is competitive.

15)

Where do they live? Are they wealthy? Poor? Middle-Class?

Having the Champion as her mother, Tanith is quite well off. She and her parents live in Sunnyshore City it a pretty nicely sized house. Not quite a mansion as both her parents prefer smaller abodes, but definitely easily fitting a family of three and their pokémon.

20)

Do they wish they lived in a different family/household?

Definitely not. Tanith loves her parents and wouldn’t trade them for the world.

25)

Do they consider any of their friends to be like siblings?

Tanith sees Emery as a big sister. Dawn and Paul are childhood friends and practically siblings themselves, so their daughters grew up very close. Emery is probably responsible for encouraging a lot of Tanith’s more reckless behavior. She’s definitely not the ‘responsible’ kind of older sister.

30)

What would this person do without their friends in their lives?

Tanith is a very social girl, so without her friends she would likely become isolated and withdrawn, losing a lot of her cheer. Her love of challenge and competition, without any friendly rivals to pit herself against, might morph into an intense self-criticism that could be detrimental to her health. Overall, it would be pretty bad for her in general.

35)

Do/Did they need extra help?

Tanith struggles with a few subjects in school – math and literature especially, but her pride can prevent her from seeking extra help. As she grows older, she realizes that not getting help would be giving herself an unfair disadvantage and how could she ‘win’ at school by being top of her class that way? After that realization, she often and enthusiastically goes to her teachers and peer tutors for help.

40)

How far do they plan to go with school? If they dropped out, do they want to go back?

For now, Tanith plans on finishing high school, but has no plans for higher education.

45)

Do they use social media?

Tanith loves social media. She’s very active on Instragram and Snapchat and enjoys sharing her travels and adventures with all her friends and followers. She mostly posts pictures of herself and her friends, her pokémon, and the sights of all the cities and routes she travels through. She also uses an ungodly amount of filters.

50)

Does this OC have any part of you in them? (I.e, personality traits, similar background, etc)

Tanith’s relationship with her parents is pretty similar to mine. While none of her family resemble mine in personality, Tanith’s easy and positive relationship with her parents is similar. Dawn is both a mother and a sister to the only child Tanith, just how my relationship is with my mother.

How does the Pokémon Storage system work in your headcanon? :D

Similarly to how pokéballs function, the Storage System is able to transfer registered pokémon into data and store them in a state of suspended animation. This feature is useful for people who are travelling long distances and may not wish to bring their pokéballs with them, however, just as it is highly discouraged to keep one’s pokémon in their pokéballs for extended periods of time, it is not recommended to keep pokémon in the storage system for more than a week at a time and people who won’t be able to take care of their pokémon for longer than that should seek the aid of a daycare or sitter. The system functions as more than just pokémon storage, however. It can be used to trade pokémon, store items, and as an ATM all through scanning one’s trainer licence. The terminal at all pokécenters is a very useful tool for both new and veteran trainers alike.
