01. What does your character’s name mean? Did you pick it for the symbolism, or did you just like the way it sounded?
Celeste’s name was chosen to match Lyra’s! A celeste, or celesta, is a kind of musical instrument that resembles a small piano. As a word, it means ‘heavenly.’ Since Lyra has a musical instrument name, and lyres are often considered a ‘heavenly’ instrument, Celeste’s name matches her mother’s. Lyra is also a Flying Type Gym Leader in L&L, so Celeste having a ‘sky’ theme fits in that sense as well. Additionally, Celeste and her brother, Renato, both have Italian names as that’s what Silver’s ancestry is.

15. Is there a certain person in this world that they cannot stand? The very mention of this person’s name makes them tremble with anger or fear.
Celeste doesn’t have anyone like that. She tends to be the type of person who gets along with everyone (or at least tries to.) There are people who annoy her, like Draco or Shiki, but she doesn’t truly hate anyone. That’s not to say that Celeste is overly trusting though, she just doesn’t see the point in not being amiable with everyone, whether they like her or not. She can be extra annoying to others who don’t like her as a result of this, however, since she won’t be bothered by taunting or teasing, staying as friendly as always.

45. Is your character the kind to hide their true emotions or do they wear their heart on their sleeve?
Celeste generally wears her heart on her sleeve, seeing no reason to hide her feelings. She has a very carefree attitude, doing what she wants without worrying what others think. As an artist, Celeste also thinks it’s important to always express herself freely since that’s what helps her creativity flow. If she stifles her emotions then she’ll be stifling her creativity as well. That’s not to say Celeste isn’t capable of hiding her feelings though. She’s a good actress when she wants to be, she just doesn’t like being anyone but herself. There are other people in the reformed Team Rocket who can be deceptive and sneaky, she’ll be the honest and straightforward one.
