I’ve just noticed that one of Cynthea’s sister’s children is named Verity. Is she, by any chance, the same Verity from the 20th Pokemon Movie? ( Either way, I want to know more about her and her siblings, please? I love triplets! x)

She is not the same Verity, but her and her siblings’ names were inspired by the character from the movie! I thought it would be cool to have a set of triplets named after Sinnoh’s lakes and be sort of homages to the Lake Trio. It was just an idea until Verity from the movie set in stone that I wanted them to be related to Cynthia, as the mythical connection would fit her family well. At that point, Cynthia’s family and children were already established, but I remembered that Cynthia has a sister in the games, so she seemed like a good choice. As for their father, I chose Fei mainly so that I could have the triplets share their hair color with the color scheme of the Lake Guardian they are meant to be inspired by, and also to have a legitimate mythical/supernatural connection as Fei is one of the former legendary pokémon. Amarynthia has blonde hair and Fei has blue hair and a red haired sister, so it seemed reasonable they could have blonde, blue haired, and pink haired children. Other than the premise however, I don’t really know much about Amarynthia or the triplet’s yet, sorry! I’ll share what little I do know about Verity though.

Verity is the triplet meant to be inspired by Mesprit, so she has pink hair and is probably the most emotional out of her siblings. It’s entirely possible she is somewhat similar to Verity from the movie, if not in looks, but truth be told, I haven’t seen the 20th movie so I can’t really say for certain.

Lihua

In my development of Team Mythic, I have found myself adding another fankid. As mentioned previously, Team Mythic is interested in studying magical beings and finding ways for ordinary humans to use magical powers. Their experiments are underground and illegal and they are known to kidnap people to perform testing on. In particular, three of their captive test subjects are former legendaries – Evgeny (Darkrai), Noriko (Raikou), and Fei (Latios). We are interested in Fei for today’s discussion of Lihua, as he is her father. Fei, prior to being captured, was the boyfriend of Lily, Misty’s sister, and the two had a son together named Narcissus. What neither of them were aware of at the time of Fei’s kidnapping was that he was pregnant with their second child. While Fei didn’t want his child to be born in such conditions as an illegal testing facility, he didn’t have much choice, and his daughter, who he named Lihua (’pear blossom’, following the flower theme Misty’s sisters all decided on for their children) was born 8 months later.

Lihua was raised exclusively in the Mythic labs, being observed and tested upon daily and never allowed to see the outdoors. As cooperative test subjects are allowed a degree of freedom and privileges within the lab, Lihua was able to befriend other child test subjects, get somewhat of an education, and spend time with her father when permitted. I chose to create her so that I could share a different perspective of Team Mythic’s victims that wasn’t that of an adult they captured for testing. Lihua’s story arc revolves around how, when she is 15 years old, Team Mythic is taken down and she finds herself in the ‘outside world’ for the first time – experiencing new things and meeting the family she only knew about from her father’s stories.

While she won’t be a major fankid, Lihua’s story is a big plot point in regards to the main ‘evil team’ of this AU, so I hope you all enjoy getting to know her and her family and friends.

Noelle

Noelle was the only daughter of Lance and his wife Liza, but Liza died shortly after her birth. Not six years later, Noelle was killed in a tragic accident involving an injured wild Charizard, and her death weighs heavily on her family members up through the present day.

However, there’s another version of Noelle running about, an adult one. This Noelle is a Faller from a universe where Liza never died, Draco was never born, and she herself never even met the Charizard that killed her in this world. Faller Noelle arrived in this world when she was 23, about three years before the start of the main timeline and had a pretty rough start to her new life. With barely any memories and strange creatures following her and causing chaos, Noelle was sure she was in some kind of nightmare. About six months after her Fall, Interpol was able to track her down and get her the help she needed. Noelle joined them as an agent and initially worked in their UB department, which was where their other primary Faller agent, Anabel, worked. While on a mission in Hoenn, Noelle met Draco for the first time. Draco figured out somewhat quickly who she was, but being Draco didn’t say anything and just acted shifty until Noelle approached him. When she found out they were family, she pretty much demanded to go to Johto so she could meet her father. Lance was stunned to see his daughter all grown up, and Noelle actually recovered a few memories about her father after reuniting with him. After this, she does her best to stay in touch, even though she knows that Lance and Draco aren’t her ‘real’ family, they’re all she has.

Eventually, Noelle ends up investigating this AUs primary antagonists, Team Mythic, who are trying to exploit magical beings to use their power to create weapons and black market magitech. Noelle, along with other Interpol agents, works to infiltrate their bases and take them down. As a demigod, Noelle makes the perfect bait, since she’s the type of person they would want to capture and experiment on. She wouldn’t be the first either, since Noriko, Fei, and Evgeny are all captives of this team and are being used to study magic and how it manifests in divine beings like them. By being intentionally captured, Noelle can dismantle their operations from the inside, rescue captives, and gain valuable information. It’s a rough job, but she wouldn’t trade it for anything, since helping others is so important to her.

As a side note, Noelle is meant to be a foil to my other Faller kid, Ohia, who Fell as a child and quickly found a place to live and a new family. His missing memories barely bother him and he actually doesn’t like people bringing up his Faller status. He and Noelle are somewhat rivals as a result.
