Name Change & New Fankids

Instead of doing asks or drabble requests I decided to change the name of one of my fankids and ended up with three new fankids at the same time because I cannot be left alone unsupervised.

Essentially, I felt dissatisfied that my RocketShipping son did not have a clever outlaw related name, so decided to try and find one that fit him and still followed the ‘J’ name convention I found cute with Jessie and James. Along the way, I found a number of other outlaw related names I found cute, which ended up with my NeoShipping son, Parker, gaining a twin sister named Bonnie, and the RocketShipping son, newly dubbed Jules, gaining two younger sisters named Jill and Josephine ‘Josie’. Bonnie’s name was chosen because I found out that the outlaw Bonnie had the surname ‘Parker’. Originally, I chose Parker’s name since it was the surname of Butch Cassidy, but the fact another famous outlaw had the same surname was too good a chance to pass up since the established pattern for Rocket duos was already ‘first and last name of a famous gunslinger.’ Bonnie might be Parker’s twin, but the two are firmly rivals, and not friendly ones either, since while Parker is a criminal like their parents, Bonnie is on the straight and narrow and works in law enforcement. As for the two new RocketShipping daughters, I don’t know much about them yet, and mainly added them since I can see Jessie and James wanting more than one child, and the idea of Jules interacting with younger sisters was heartwarming to me. Jill’s name was mainly chosen to match the rest of her family’s and she most likely has a mix of her parents’ hair colors and Josie is named after Josephine Earp (wife of Wyatt Earp) and most likely has James’ hair color, so that the family has one of each (Jules has Jessie’s hair color.)

Cicely

@sydchan is a horrible, horrible influence on me so now I have a new fankid. We were discussing Cress in our AUs back in his Plasma days as a member of the Shadow Triad and I decided to solidify an idea I’ve had for a while that he had been dating a fellow Plasma member at this time. After working on this character (an Admin named Seamus), I realized that I had gotten kind of invested in the relationship between Cress and his OC ex-boyfriend and wanted to find some way to have them interact even after Cress moves to Johto and marries Jasmine. Of course, me being the way I am, my mind jumped to ‘fankid’. This was not helped by Sydney also recently adding an older Cress kid to her AU. I also realized that I wanted to develop the criminal sect of my Unovan fankids (namely, Renato, Euphie, and Jules) so having a fankid with a criminal background would help me do that. Thus, the foundations for Cicely.

In-universe, the story is that, while he worked for Team Plasma, Cress was dating an admin named Seamus Sullivan. However, when the schism in the team formed after their failed plan to take over the League, Seamus decided to leave the team, while Cress was still loyal to Ghetsis. Obviously, this caused them to break up. It ended on a pretty sour note with the two of them arguing, but the animosity didn’t linger for either of them. After defecting from Plasma, Seamus returns to his roots in the organized crime world of Castelia City and about a month after he finds out he’s pregnant with Cress’ child. He chooses not to tell his ex (he’s not even sure how to contact Cress at this point) and raises his daughter, Cicely, on his own. About two years later, after Neo Team Plasma is defeated, Cress and Seamus run into each other again by chance in Castelia (this is before the triplets move to Kalos), which is when Cress finds out about Cicely. While the two exes are able to establish a friendly rapport after they parted on harsh terms, Cress knows he can’t stay in Unova and both of them know a relationship isn’t going to work out again between them. They make an agreement to keep in touch, since Cress is interested in knowing how his daughter is doing, but they don’t end up meeting again until a few years later when it’s more convenient for Seamus to travel to Kalos, and later Johto or vice-versa.

Cicely, on her part, doesn’t really see Cress like a parent, more of a distant uncle or family friend. She knows he’s her father, but since he wasn’t part of her life growing up she doesn’t think of him as such. She ends up following in her father’s footsteps and becomes involved in organized crime as a freelancer, eventually spending a good amount of time with the ‘Café Crew’ as Renato and Jules’ group are known (since their center of operations is the café run by Giovanni and Angelo.) Since Euphie also spends time with them, she ends up befriending him as well. As it stands now, I also plan on her being the love interest of one of Elesa and Skyla’s twins, Joan, since she and Cicely both have a 1920s/1930s aesthetic and a perky freelance journalist/detective/investigator like Joan and a ‘femme fatale’ freelance criminal with ties to the mob like Cicely as a couple is Good Stuff.

I don’t have a ship name for Cicely/Joan yet, but the ship name for Cress/Seamus is ChancellorShipping, named after the fairy chess piece also known as the Empress or Marshal. The piece is a combination of a rook and a knight, which in this case represents Cress (the Rook, defending the King/Ghetsis as a bodyguard) and Seamus (the Knight, leading the Pawns/grunts in battle and acting as the first line of defense to the royals.)

What are all the Evil Team leaders doing in your next gen au?

Giovanni: Eloped with his childhood friend Angelo (aka Lyra’s dad) to Unova after being defeated by Red. The two own a restaurant together there and also use the space as a neutral meeting ground for the Castelia Mob. Jessie and James (and their son Jules and daughters Jill and Josie) work there, later joined by Renato when he runs away from home. Giovanni is on good terms with both his kids (on better terms with Silver though) and spoils his grandkids rotten.

Maxie & Archie: While helping to clean up after Archie’s mess of summoning Kyogre, Maxie ends up the guardian of a girl, named Kiran who was orphaned when her parents drowned in the raging storms. While he might not seem like a fatherly figure, he ends up stepping up to the occasion quite well. Eventually, after receiving funding from Aether Foundation, the former Team Aqua and Magma merge into one group, which is also around the time their leaders start to acknowledge their feelings for each other. On paper, they got married for tax benefits and to make things easier for Kiran. In practice, they are totally in love. The two are retired now, but oversee their old teams nonetheless (and dote on their two grandchildren.)

Cyrus: He remains in the distortion world until his niece Dawn comes to find and convince him to give humanity another shot. He ends up moving in with his older sister Johanna and her family in Twinleaf and now lives a quiet and relatively happy life. He was somewhat surprised to find that the (in his mind) very irrational one-night-stand he indulged in with Jupiter towards the end of their plans resulted in a son. He has some regrets that Callisto grew up with a rough life, but is pleased that he seems to have become a well adjusted adult, even marrying the daughter of one of Cyrus’ other former commanders. Cyrus also is quite fond of their daughter – his granddaughter – Pina.

Ghetsis: When he threatens Rosa’s life at the end of the BW2 plotline, Rosa’s Hydreigon partner, Cassandra, mauls him to death. Nobody particularly mourns his passing, though Rosa ends up very shaken by being indirectly responsible for someone’s death, no matter how horrible a person they were.

Lysandre: He dies when his secret base collapses, leaving behind two unborn sons from different mothers.

Lusamine (Note, this AU follows the USUM plotline): Realizing that she was far from an ideal mother, Lusamine decides to let her children go their own way and no longer interfere in their lives. She dedicates her life to research, currently trying to find ways for Fallers to regain their memories, or to prevent the memory loss in the first place.

Guzma: With Team Skull no longer really being a thing and having helped save the world, Guzma finds both himself and those around him more willing to reach out and try to form bonds. A number of his old friends and rivals from his days as a trial goer get back in touch with him, including Kukui and Molayne. After hours spent hanging around the observatory, Guzma and Molayne eventually develop feelings for each other, especially after Molayne suddenly ends up the guardian of his niece and Guzma helps out immensely with taking care of Vriesea Currently, Guzma is ‘technically unemployed’ but really he just helps out people with any odd jobs they need, and of course he always supports his Best Niece Vriesea in her endeavors to form ‘Team Skull 2′.
