I usually end up changing names without making an announcement but I’m trying to be better about noting smaller changes, so this is just a heads up and a note that I’m trying out some new Unova surnames and we’ll see if they stick. Log of changes (for me more than anything) are:

Montfort (Hilda, Hilbert, Nate, Rosa, Grimsley) – Morvan (*this is a big one/for a major family so is most likely to not stick but we’ll see I do like Morvan a lot)

Bradley (Hugh) – Marec (it means knight and he’s like the knight to Nate’s prince it’s cute ok)

West (Curtis) – Ferrand (trying to get more French surnames into Unova to better fit my hcs/worldbuilding for the region, this one is meant to reference Curtis’s JP name since both can mean “iron”)

Shou (Marlon) – Kubotamai (aesthetics change mainly haha)

Cooke (Trip) – Cartier (see my note for Curtis’s surname. still has the photography/famous photographer connection that Cooke does (though I think I chose Cooke after a company maybe??? idk it’s been a while))

Tracy (Stephan) – Herve (retains the “fighter” theme but won’t get me confused with Virgil’s fam’s thunderbirds theme and Tracey Sketchit anymore so a win-win honestly. also “hallie herve” sounds a bit like a tongue twister which is good since she inherits her dad’s gag of people messing up her name a lot sorry hallie)
