👁️ 🤥 😭 😨 🍓 and 💐 for Tipha!

👁️ EYE – what colour are their eyes? do people notice their eyes? is there anything special about them (shows emotion easily, literally magical…)?

Tipha has brown eyes with reddish undertones! They’re pretty similar in color to Hilbert’s, who inherited his eyes from his father (though with how his mother never talked about the man, it’s not like he’d know that). I don’t think people usually notice her eyes as standing out for their appearance, but she does have a mean glare and people definitely notice that. Tipha has the type of eyes you can feel looking at you even if you can’t see them. Because of her dragon heritage, she has preternatural night vision and so her eyes reflect light off of them in the dark, which is definitely spooky for most people who don’t expect it. Otherwise, they don’t glow or anything like that even when she’s using magic (which she rarely does anyways).

🤥 LYING – are they good liars? do they have tells to show they’re lying?

Tipha is a horrible liar. She can bs her way through half truths and misdirection easily enough, but when it comes to outright lying she’s very obvious about it, the most obvious tell being that the only time she fidgets is when lying. She avoids it whenever she can since she finds lying morally objectionable, so when she does lie it literally makes her squirm.

😭 CRYING – what makes them cry? do they cry easily?

Tipha doesn’t cry easily and when she does, it’s usually restrained to silent tears and heavy breathing rather than full on sobs. She usually cries most easily when extremely angry or frustrated, but this was mostly when she was a child. Things like homework or being treated unfairly by Euphie or her peers that worked her up would often result in tears accompanied by raising her voice and escalating instability (and when she was even younger, a full on tantrum). Once she’s a teenager, she tries to avoid getting to that point or furiously holding back tears when she feels them building since she finds it childish and embarrassing for her to cry out of anger. Of course, this also makes her temper a bit scarier, since anger without tears implies more fury than the frustration she showed with angry tears. (She is also not immune to crying from reading sad moments in books, though she denies this.)

😨 FEARFUL – when scared, do they go into “flight” or “fight”?

Instant “fight”. Hands down. Tipha is a “throw a punch first, apologize later” when caught off guard type of person. She wants to go down fighting if it comes to it, especially if it means protecting others. But this instinct comes at the cost of her own self-preservation a lot of the time. She’ll push aside all of her fear to act in dangerous situations, but can sometimes make things worse in the process, especially since she’s usually not thinking straight when cornered and simply reacting. (In that sense, she and Gavin are very similar, I’m picturing that meme of the person trying to block a bullet for another, but then the other person wraps around them to block instead and it just keeps going like that haha).

🍓 STRAWBERRY – do they eat their fruit & veg? what is their favourite fruit or vegetable?

Tipha comes from a mostly vegetarian family, so she loves her fruit and veg! It’s also very important for her to eat healthily to keep up with her exercise regime, so she takes her diet very seriously, planning out her meals to be all balanced. She has a preference for crunchy fruits and vegetables, with strong flavors finding them satisfying to eat – her favorite fruits are melons and melon-like berries (especially Spelon berries!), and her favorite vegetables are radishes!

💐 BOUQUET – create a bouquet for them! what do those flowers mean? are any of the flowers their particular favourite?

  • Chamomile for energy in adversity.
  • Laurel for ambition and renown. (Her favorite!)
  • Goldenrod for encouragement.
  • Gorse for anger.
  • Angelica for inspiration.
  • And for some filler between the flowers: Foxtail Grass for sporting.

10 facts about Tanith please?

10 Facts About Tanith Moireach

  1. She sews a lot of her own clothing, or at least alters what she buys from thrift stores. Recently, she’s discovered there’s actually a market for hand made accessories, so she’s set up an online shop for her scrunchies, patches, and clothing.
  2. She plays an equivalent of Dungeons & Dragons with some of her online friends. They have weekly meetings through video chat and it’s something she regularly looks forward to. Currently she’s playing a tiefling arcane trickster in a naval/pirate themed campaign.
  3. While she doesn’t consider herself sporty, Tanith loves to work out and tries to exercise regularly, most often going jogging or hitting the gym. She tends to have a lot of energy, even post workout and is always chipper about encouraging others to exercise as well, even if the don’t want to.
  4. She’s Balthazar’s closest friend, but she’s also close with Alan, him being her best childhood friend. She also is close with Emery, seeing her as an older sister and often emulating her.
  5. Even though they aren’t related by blood, Tanith still considers Ishtar her cousin, since the other girl is her cousin’s cousin so that must mean something! The two are rivals, but it’s fairly friendly.
  6. Tanith and Taffeta are rivals only in coordinating. Their rivalry began when they first competed against each other and Taffeta made a rude comment about Tanith’s dress that had been hand made for her by her grandmother Johanna. Tanith was so pissed she insulted the other girl right back, and an epic and vicious rivalry was born.
  7. While she’s usually pretty hesitant around her father’s more unusual traits, finding his origins and nature quite a bit weird and unnerving, she still does her best to be a good daughter. One of her favorite ways of bonding with him is through telling stories. Being so old, Jeshir has quite a few tales to tell of ancient civilizations and long-dead deities which fascinate the fantasy-loving Tanith to no end. To her, her father is like a character from one of her favorite books, so when she thinks about him that way, his being an old god isn’t so weird after all.
  8. Tanith isn’t entirely sure what she wants to do with her life, which is part of the reason she’s taking both the gym challenge and competing regularly in contests. She admires her mother for being such a cool Champion, so maybe a professional trainer would be a good idea? At the same time, she loves sewing, so maybe the fashion industry? But she adores reading, maybe she should be an author? Or a folklorist? Or a historian? Or…. well the list goes on. She’s still young so she’s got time to figure out what she wants to do.
  9. Tanith’s favorite color is blue, and her pokémon team reflects this, most of them having blue somewhere in their color scheme if not as their main color. She’s also very defensive of her pokémon, especially in contests as a number of them aren’t conventionally cute or beautiful. If anyone dares to insult her Tangrowth or Gliscor or Toxicroak they will feel her wrath.
  10. Tanith usually ends up being the mediator whenever Balthazar and Solomon are arguing (which is 75% of the time.) She doesn’t really get why they are at odds so frequently, but she’s also not a very good mediator as she’ll inevitably take Bal’s side as he’s her childhood friend. She’s doing her best.

How they first met: They first met shortly after Alder chose Iris to be his successor as Champion and began training her for the role. Benga had stopped by to visit his grandfather and would constantly critique everything Iris did, which really got on her nerves, so she challenged him to a pokémon battle, thinking he was all bark and no bite, but was impressed when their battle ended in a draw. Their relationship started moving in a more positive ‘friendly rivals’ direction after that.
Where their first date was: After an afternoon of training in Opelucid, Iris invites Benga to one of her favorite restaurants she always visited growing up for dinner. She doesn’t explicitly say it’s a date, but the implication is there. After they’re finished eating she invites him back to her house with a wink, saying her aunt and uncle and cousins are out of town so they’d have the place to themselves.
When they had their first kiss: They had their first kiss when they spent the night together at Iris’ house after their first date. Iris kisses Benga to set the mood once they’re settled in her room and they continue from there.
Who cooks: Iris is a decent cook, but Benga’s definitely the better of the two. He likes having fun putting his own twist on recipes and coming up with new ones and he has a good sense of taste so they usually turn out well. He also ends up being the one at home more, especially as their family grows, so he’s usually cooking either way.
Who proposed: Iris.
The dominant one: They are both equally dominant which can sometimes lead to issues since both are so stubborn, but they are usually able to compromise for each other. Eventually. In the bedroom it’s the same, but in that case rather than starting arguments, it just leads to a lot of passion.
Their favorite pastime together: They sometimes have trouble coordinating their schedules, especially since Iris is so busy as the Champion, so when they do have time together, they usually stay closer to home since it just makes things easier. Hiking is a favorite pastime since both of them love the outdoors and Iris especially loves a chance to get away from all her responsibilities and just enjoy nature.
Who kissed who first: Iris kissed Benga.
Who is the flirt: Benga flirts more often and can be a bit crasser in his flirtation methods (sometimes he’ll jokingly smack Iris on the butt, which she then returns with more force and a smirk), but Iris definitely has her moments.
Who is the romantic: Neither are super romantic, but it’s more that they just have their own way of showing each other affection (that is mostly teasing and might seem aggressive to outsiders).
Who wakes up first: Benga is a fairly early riser and enjoys watching the sunrise while Iris prefers to sleep in a little when she has the chance.
Who comforts who the most: Iris is usually more stressed out from work, so Benga ends up comforting her more when she’s had a particularly trying day. Benga himself tends to be more optimistic, but even he has his bad days, when Iris is always sure to make sure he’s comforted as well.
The cuddler: They both are fairly cuddly, but Iris is definitely more of a cuddler than Benga.
The big spoon: Benga, mainly just since he’s taller.

How they first met: They first met as children when they started middle school together. Volkner said that Flint’s hair looked stupid and then Flint punched him in the mouth. They both got sent to the principal’s office. It was the start of a beautiful friendship.
Where their first date was: They were one of those couples where the line between friends and boyfriends shifted so slowly it’s hard for them to figure out exactly when they started dating. Volkner considers their first actual date to be when they had their first kiss, while Flint will say they were ‘dating all along even if they didn’t know it’ because they are ‘soulmates bound by a red string.’
When they had their first kiss: They had their first kiss when they were both 17. After goofing off all evening getting tipsy and wandering around the city, they ended up on one of the cliffs overlooking the sea. The spot was popular for dates and Flint made a joke about the romantic atmosphere, two bros chillin’ in a date spot sitting so close their legs are touching ‘cause they might be gay. Volkner kissed him to shut him up.
Who cooks: Neither are particularly good cooks. Volkner can cook the classic college/bachelor diet of soup from a can, ramen, and toast, among other similar things. Flint is not allowed near the kitchen. Considering both of them have high salaries, they mainly get takeout or dine out. Out of desperation, their son Ronan ends up learning to cook when he is fairly young, so he tends to make things in bulk just for variety.
Who proposed: Flint proposed. It was at an annual gathering for all the Sinnoh Gym Leaders and Elite Four, so there was a very big audience. He tried to be dramatic about it and there were pyrotechnics involved. Except then one of the pyrotechnics caught a tablecloth on fire and the entire venue had to be evacuated. Volkner ended up saying ‘yes’ in the parking lot. They both consider it one of their most romantic memories.
The dominate one: Both of them, but in different ways. Flint is more energetic and tends to be the most enthusiastic, but Volkner is more creative and can curb his husbands enthusiasm and channel it all towards productivity. Volkner especially likes to try new things and can get very inventive in the bedroom as well, though Flint is usually eager to go along.
Their favorite pastime together: They are both professional pokémon trainers first and foremost so anything involving battling is sure to be a hit. They also love just hanging out in Sunyshore and wandering around, grabbing a coffee and soaking in the vibes of their hometown while Volkner brags about all the new tech he’s implemented into the city to make it greener that Flint’s heard a thousand times but he still listens intently since it’s his husband’s passion and seeing Volkner smile and talk about what he loves is like basking in the sun.
Who kissed who first: Volkner kissed Flint.
Who is the flirt: Flint casually flirts just about all the time, but Volkner likes to carefully curate an especially devastating line to bring out at just the right moment to completely fluster Flint and get him to trip up. One time he walked into a lamppost after Volkner told him how good he looked that day.
Who is the romantic: Flint is more of a cheesy romantic, while Volkner is more of a thoughtful romantic. But really, they’re both so hopelessly in love even after all these years anything they both qualify as romantics.
Who wakes up first: Flint isn’t really an early riser but since Volkner will sleep past noon every day if given the chance, really most anyone is an early riser compared to him.
Who comforts who the most: Flint is Volkner’s go-to whenever he needs to vent, or he just feels sad, or he’s annoyed that one of his projects isn’t working out and he needs to hold his husband, or….. well the list goes on. Volkner is a good listener though, even if he’s not as good at giving advice, so he’s always there for Flint just as Flint is there for him.
The cuddler: Perhaps surprisingly, both are equally cuddly. Though…. Volkner is more ‘clingy’ than cuddly.
The big spoon: They alternate.

How they first met: Zinnia was actually the first person to find Sukarno after he turned into his human form. She was studying the murals in the Sky Pillar and making sketches of them for a plan to restore the artwork. All of a sudden, she felt the air shift and heard a loud roar, followed by a crash at the top of the tower. Zinnia ran up the stairs as fast as she could, only to find Rayquaza themselves lying in front of the altar. In fear of what possibly could have injured the great deity, Zinnia ran up to the dragon only to find them transform before her eyes into what looked like a member of her own clan. Bewildered, Zinnia had to let logic take the backseat as she moved to place her cloak around the man as he slowly gained consciousness, clearly disoriented. When she found out he didn’t speak League Standard and seemed to think it was centuries ago, she began to get worried again about what possibly could be going on. All the same, she managed to convince him to come with her to a hospital and after they figured out he was, essentially, a time-traveler with superpowers (seeing as all his memories of being a deity were missing) Zinnia was the first one to offer Sukarno a place staying with her (and his) clan in Meteor Falls.
Where their first date was: Originally, the two spent a lot of time together as Zinnia took it upon herself to introduce Sukarno to the modern world and everything that had happened since he was last mortal. As such, they traveled across Hoenn together, also hoping to maybe find other former-deities like Sukarno or gain clues as to why this happened in the first place. After their journey ended, however, Sukarno found himself making excuses to ask Zinnia questions about modern lie he already knew the answers to, just to spend time with her, while Zinnia would go out of her way to discuss history and Kaliya clan lore with Sukarno, even if she could find the answers elsewhere. Since neither seemed to be catching on to the other’s feelings, Zinnia’s grandmother just set them up on a date at a restaurant in Fallarbor Town. Needless to say, it went well, as much to the clan elder’s delight, Zinna brought Sukarno back to her home in Meteor Village that night.
When they had their first kiss: They had their first kiss on their first date, well, after it at least. Swimming with happiness that Sukarno returned her feelings, Zinnia was excited to move to the next step in their relationship, so she invited him to come home with her instead of returning to his room in the elder’s lodge. When he agreed and they returned to Zinnia’s house, she decided to set the mood by kissing him. Sukarno did not react super well to that, since he grew up in an era where courtship was supposed to be formal and physical affections reserved mainly for after marriage. Zinnia, on her part, felt super bad for rushing him, so they agreed to just hang out for the night instead. They did eventually have a proper kiss about a month later, though.
Who cooks: When they first started dating, neither of them were very good cooks, Zinnia mainly knowing the basics and Sukarno knowing none at all. Zinnia’s grandmother tried to give her more detailed lessons since someone in the family needed to know how to cook, but Zinnia just didn’t catch on too well. Sukarno, on the other hand, got his own set of cooking lessons from his future grandmother in law and found out that, not only did he enjoy cooking, he was quite good at it. Nowadays, he’s the one who cooks for the family, since Alya inherited her mother’s cooking skills.
Who proposed: Sukarno proposed! Zinnia saw it coming from a mile away though. She knew that her boyfriend wanted to at least try to keep their relationship somewhat traditional (even though he was breaking away from the traditions he was raised with in many other instances), so she let him go through the whole process of asking her grandmother for permission (she drew the line at dowry negotiations though), then formally present her with the engraved gold charm symbolizing their union. The whole Meteor Village had a huge party for the happy couple (dwarfed only by the actual wedding) and while Zinnia was overjoyed at her future, she dearly wished her sister Aster could have been there to celebrate as well.
The dominate one: Zinnia. Sukarno makes a good show of trying be the dominant one but it’s Zinnia. She regularly tops. And her husband does like it, even if he complains, because that’s just how he is. All the same, he accepts it just fine since his wife is the ‘higher ranked’ one in their relationship so traditionally she would be the dominant one.
Their favorite pastime together: They love to travel! Especially to foreign nations. Zinnia knows she’ll eventually be tied down in Hoenn when she inherits the clan head duties from her grandmother, so she wants to see the world while she has the chance. Sukarno never traveled in the past, so he loves being able to see the world and all the different cultures, people, and pokemon that make it up. They usually forgo public transportation and fly on their dragons (Zinnia’s Salamence and Sukarno’s Flygon), making sure to hit all the important cultural and historical sights along the way. Alya was born while her parents were travelling (which caused a bit of a scandal back home for the heir to not be born in Hoenn), and her parents like to think she inherited her wanderlust from being born ‘on the road’ so to speak.
Who kissed who first: Zinnia kissed Sukarno.
Who is the flirt: Sukarno, surprisingly enough. He might be a bit on the traditional side, but once he discovers that flirting in public is socially acceptable he takes it upon himself to shower his wife in compliments all the time. Zinnia isn’t really phased by this though, and she’ll flirt right back (which will actually fluster her husband, which she finds hilarious).
Who is the romantic: Sukarno, again, since he takes a very traditional approach to romance, doing things like buying jewelry and flowers for his wife (she appreciates the latter a bit more than the former) and generally pampering her whenever he can. He can sometimes go a bit overboard though, in which case Zinnia will tell him to take a break worrying about taking care of her and let her take care of him. This, as expected, flusters him quite a bit.
Who wakes up first: Sukarno, usually, since he just doesn’t need as much sleep as a normal person would. He usually tries to go back to sleep so he can wake up with Zinnia though.
Who comforts who the most: They both comfort each other quite a lot. Zinnia is still haunted by her sister’s death and the responsibility that suddenly fell on her shoulders in the aftermath, while Sukarno has lived through a civil war, seen family members and friends killed, and essentially thought he was going to die when he ended up deified. Not to mention being displaced in time on top of it all. Sukarno tends to internalize all his issues, just as Zinnia tends to be in denial about things, so often times their communication isn’t very good. All the same, if one does pick up on the other’s distress (and they’ve gotten good at it over the years) they have a wordless agreement to led support when needed.
The cuddler: Zinnia tends to be more physically affectionate, mainly since physical affection is more common in the era she grew up in. Sukarno craves physical affection more, but is more hesitant about initiating since that sort of thing wasn’t done in public, or even in private as much, where and when he grew up.
The big spoon: As he is the taller one, Sukarno often is the big spoon, but he likes being held by Zinnia as well.

Devilshipping

How they first met: They first met when Phoebe joined the Elite Four. Sidney was the most junior member prior to her, so he was assigned with giving her her orientation for her first day. The two hit it off right away and Sidney was pumped to have another more energetic and upbeat coworker since he didn’t get along as well with the others.
Where their first date was: The two started dating pretty quickly after first meeting, their first date being about a month after Phoebe joined the E4. She had kept trying to start a weekly ‘Bar Night’ with her coworkers to try and bond with them better, but only Sidney ever showed up. On the fourth week of only him taking her up on her offer, Phoebe, in a bit of a huff, just said ‘Well, with only us two we might as well make this a date!’ and that was that. They spent the evening having fun chatting and drinking, finding more and more shared interests, then retired to Sidney’s apartment for the night.
When they had their first kiss: They had their first kiss on their first date. It was raining when they left the bar and neither of them had brought umbrellas, so Sidney draped his leather jacket over Phoebe’s shoulders. She was so touched by the gesture (and still quite tipsy) that she grabbed him by the lapels and pulled him down for a smooch. The person behind them trying to leave had to ask them to take their makeout session somewhere other than the doorway.
Who cooks: Phoebe mostly cooks, but that’s mainly since Sidney fell in love with the Alolan recipes she learned from her grandparents the first time she cooked for him. When he does cook, though, Sidney likes to show off his skills in the kitchen by being dramatic with everything he does – juggling ingredients, spinning around while flipping omelets, cracking eggs with one hand, etc. Phoebe always is a wonderful audience, clapping and cheering for all his tricks, which he loves. Both of them (and both their kids) also love spicy food, and have one of those giant jugs of hot sauce lovingly displayed in the center of their dinner table.
Who proposed: Sidney proposed. He chose to do so while they were on a date at the bar where they first started going out together. It was a pretty traditional proposal all things considered – he steered the conversation towards their relationship and when he felt the time was right, got down on one knee and asked Phoebe to marry him. She was so excited she fell off her bar stool! Luckily her new fiance was there to catch her.
The dominate one: Both are about equally dominant and frequently switch up who takes that role. Sidney loves his wife’s devious side and Phoebe loves when Sidney takes control, so switching things up works out wonderfully for them.
Their favorite pastime together: Both love battling, both together at the Battle Frontier or against each other, but otherwise they usually like to go to any kind of high-energy event, especially concerts. The two of them both love headbanging rock music (and similar genres) and get really excited whenever their favorite bands are in town. Phoebe is on the shorter side, so her husband will put her on his shoulders so she can see the band. They always end up screaming themselves hoarse from all the cheering and singing along. On the quieter side, Phoebe managed to get Sidney into gardening. She herself picked up the hobby from learning to care for Mt. Pyre from her grandparents, so she passed on her love of tending the soil to her husband. Their house is covered in window boxes and climbing vines, with plenty of Phoebe’s favorite – rose mallow. Sydney prefers to carefully cultivate his little succulent garden (and protect it from Phoebe’s Sableye, who seems to love digging up the dirt on her search for tasty stones) which Phoebe isn’t as impressed by since none of them have pretty flowers, but she still loves that she got him into gardening in the first place.
Who kissed who first: Phoebe kissed Sidney!
Who is the flirt: Sidney, hands down. He uses really cheesy lines as well. Or song lyrics. Phoebe thinks he’s such a nerd.
Who is the romantic: Phoebe! She likes planning out all their dates, though sometimes can go a bit over the top with her romantic ideas (no, Phoebe, a three-week vacation to tropical Oblivia is not realistic when you both have demanding government jobs). She also gets a lot of her romance tips from her ghost friends, so some of her romantic ideas are….. old-fashioned. Sidney finds that side of her charming, though, since he’s always loved how Phoebe is so friendly with the spirit world.
Who wakes up first: Sidney usually wakes up first. Phoebe is a night owl who always ends up sleeping late, so she relies on her husband to make sure she’s up on time for work each morning.
Who comforts who the most: Sidney usually comforts Phoebe more, since taking care of Mt. Pyre can be very taxing for her – taking care of all those lost souls and comforting grieving families. Phoebe always tries to be cheerful and upbeat, so when she does start feeling down from her work, her husband is always there to lend a shoulder and let her know it’s okay to cry if she needs to. Phoebe, on her part, always makes sure Sidney knows she’s there for him, especially when his family issues come up.
The cuddler: Phoebe, for sure. She loves to curl up to her husband, though he doesn’t always appreciate since she has a lower body temperature as a dark mage. Freezing cold feet aren’t ever fun. Phoebe always insists that just means he needs to warm her up and then it wouldn’t be a problem.
The big spoon: Sidney, by virtue of being taller (not that it’s hard to be taller than Phoebe).

How they first met: They first met when Whitney stopped by the Pokémon Daycare to pick up one of her Gym pokémon that had been staying there. Ethan was visiting his grandparents and was happy to strike up a conversation with the Gym Leader.
Where their first date was: Their first date was at the annual Tanabata festival celebrations in Goldenrod. Whitney had some official duties as Gym Leader, but that evening she invited Ethan to join her to walk around the stalls to check out the food and games. The two had a wonderful time enjoying each other’s company, and were holding hands by the end of their first date. Neither of them knew it, but each had wished for romance that year – it seems their wish came true!
When they had their first kiss: They had their first kiss on their third date, which was to a new café that Whitney wanted to check out, since she heard it had cute desserts. They got a strawberry shortcake to share and Ethan ended up getting some icing on his nose after taking a large bite. Rather than tell her boyfriend to wipe it off, Whitney simply leaned in and kissed his nose, getting the frosting in the process. She then couldn’t help but giggle at the face he made when he realized what had happened, since she had never seen Ethan so flustered.
Who cooks: Neither of them are particularly skilled cooks, so they tend to switch off who cooks so as to split the burden. They also often eat out or get take-out, which is easy thanks to Whitney’s Gym Leader salary. When Ethan’s grandparents were still alive, they would often make soups and the like in bulk for Ethan and Whitney to share, and there are other family friends who send them food once in a while. Once Ethan and Whitney start taking in foster children, they both agree to learn to cook better so that they can provide a better experience for the children in their care. By the time they take in and eventually adopt Carmen, the two have become pretty good cooks, or at least able to follow a recipe, though take out and restaurants are still pretty common traditions.
Who proposed: Ethan proposed to Whitney. It was pretty informal, however. They were spending the evening in at their house in Goldenrod when Ethan just asked, ‘Why don’t we get married?’ Whitney was a bit surprised to hear the question, since she hadn’t taken Ethan for the marrying type. When she didn’t say anything, Ethan just sat up and grasped her hands, a bit more confident, saying ‘I love you, and want to spend the rest of my life with you, like this. So why don’t we?’ Whitney, touched by his earnestness, grinned back and hugged him with an enthusiastic ‘Yes!’
The dominate one: Ethan is the confident type who isn’t afraid to go after what he wants, but at the same time, Whitney is one of the few people who can get him to do what she wants with just a look. So really, it’s a toss-up.
Their favorite pastime together: The two of them have quite different interests, most of the time, Whitney liking to explore cute cafés and shops, while Ethan likes exploring nature. The two of them are perfectly happy to indulge the other, Ethan exploring the city with his wife and Whitney exploring nature with her husband, but they do, in fact, have some shared interests. The main one is taking care of pokémon. Ethan inherits the Daycare from his grandparents, and when he and Whitney get married she’s adamant in helping out there as well. They both love to provide a place to stay for other trainers’ pokémon and a shelter for injured or abandoned pokémon as well. Their other favorite shared pastime is, in fact, baseball. Whitney has been a fan since she was a child, even playing on her school’s team when she was younger. She later inducts Ethan into the sport as well, getting him hooked. The two are part of an informal ‘League Baseball League’ which is comprised of Gym Leaders, the Elite Four (or former Gym Leaders and Elite Four) and their families.
Who kissed who first: Whitney kissed Ethan!
Who is the flirt: Ethan 100%. He might not seem it at first, but Ethan is a total flirt and has no issue making flirty comments to his wife in public. Whitney, on her part, has no trouble flirting back when he does, though she rarely initiates.
Who is the romantic: The two are about equally romantic, loving to indulge and pamper their spouse. Whitney likes to surprise Ethan with desserts she’s bought on the way home from work, while Ethan will set up romantic dates, both on the town and at home.
Who wakes up first: Both are actually late sleepers, so it’s a code between them that whoever wakes up first will wake up the other so they don’t oversleep. That being said, there are many mornings where both are running late since they didn’t get up on time.
Who comforts who the most: They comfort each other whenever the other needs it, but both are fairly upbeat personalities who don’t need a lot of comforting. As such, sometimes there can be a lack of communication when there’s an issue, so they try to be as open with each other as possible. Whitney feels comfortable going to Ethan for support when her Gym Leader work is driving her mad or tiring her out, and Ethan feels comfortable sharing his stress from running the Daycare or any stress regarding Lance or Draco (Ethan and Whitney have an open relationship, ever since they were just dating, and while Whitney will occasionally go on dates with other people than Ethan, Ethan is actually in a more committed relationship with Lance, though it can be rocky sometimes. Whitney and Lance, on their part, are good friends who like to share silly stories about their husband/boyfriend as well.)
The cuddler: Whitney is very cuddly, enjoying holding on to her husband’s arm when they’re out and about, curling up next to him on the couch, or really just any type of physical affection. Ethan loves holding Whitney and cuddling with her as well, so really, they two of them tend to be attached to each other most of the time.
The big spoon: Ethan!

How they first met: They first met when Serena first moved to Vaniville. Calem was living next door, so he and Shauna decided to head over and greet their new neighbors, especially when they heard there was a girl their age in the family.
Where their first date was: The two had their first date about six or so years after Team Flare was defeated. It was fairly simple and low-key. They got crepes at a food stand in a park in Lumiose and spent the afternoon wandering around, enjoying the nice weather and each other’s company. It was just the kind of relaxing date the two of them wanted.
When they had their first kiss: The two had their first kiss after about a month of dating. It was actually a bit of an incident. After having a nice dinner out, Calem and Serena were sitting on a bench overlooking the canal in Lumiose when both tried to lean in for a kiss at the same time. As a result, since neither was expecting the other to go for a kiss, they ended up smacking their foreheads together and getting quite the nasty bump. Though it definitely hurt, both realized what the other was going for, so they snuck in a quick peck on the lips before running back to Sycamore’s lab to get some ice for their foreheads (the Professor still likes to tease them about that story.)
Who cooks: Calem usually cooks! He’s quite the skilled pastry chef (which the kids adore) but he’s good at making meals as well. He loves cooking and gladly will cook for his wife and family, as well as any friends who are over, since Shauna, Tierno, Trevor, and Emma and their families often visit. Serena’s an okay cook, but Calem tends to dominate the kitchen and she’s quite happy to leave the cooking to him, since he can be fussy when anything in ‘his workspace’ is disturbed or out of place.
Who proposed: Calem proposed to Serena on the opening night of the café the two co-own and run – Café Fleur-de-Lis. The opening night also happened to be Serena’s birthday, and being proposed to by the love of her life was definitely the best birthday present she could have gotten. (Shauna had to help Calem prepare himself for the even for weeks he was so nervous! It was so hard for her to keep the proposal a secret from Serena, but it was all worth it in the end to see her two best friends so happy.)
The dominate one: Serena, usually. Calem tends to get nervous when it comes to taking control, unless he’s completely comfortable and confident in himself, so he often prefers when Serena takes the reigns since he trusts his wife completely and knows she’ll make him happy. That being said, if he’s in the mood, Calem can be quite dominant himself, and Serena certainly doesn’t mind them turning the tables once in a while.
Their favorite pastime together: While managing the café is fun and a rewarding job, Serena and Calem love pokémon battling as a hobby. A fun date or pastime for them is to head over to the Battle Chateau and team up for a few multi-battles against any opponents. The two have both attained the title of Grand Duchess/Duke, so they’re quite famous among those who frequent the spot. Other times, Serena and Calem will have battles against each other, since their rivalry from their journey hasn’t fully died out. Unlike then, however, Calem has won just about half of their battles and the two sometimes place bets on who will edge ahead with more wins – loser has to do the dishes for a week.
Who kissed who first: They kissed each other at the same time!
Who is the flirt: Serena for sure. She’s not overly flirty, but she’s far more comfortable than Calem is with flirting in public. He tends to get embarrassed doing that sort of thing due to his social anxiety, but if he finds the right moment he’s quite good at sliding in with a ‘straight-to-the-heart’ flirtatious comment that will leave Serena blushing.
Who is the romantic: They’re both about equally romantic, though again, Serena is more comfortable being romantic in public. The two can be quite cheesy though, saying mushy things to each other, writing each other cute little post-it notes they leave around the house, going on picnics in the park just the two of them. The kids (and to a lesser degree their friends) often jokingly complain about how ‘sickeningly adorable’ they are – acting like a couple of love-struck teens despite being married for over fifteen years.
Who wakes up first: Calem tends to be an early riser, simply because he tends not to sleep well, often having nightmares and fitful sleep. As such, he often finds himself waking up in the early morning hours and not able to go back to sleep. He doesn’t like to wake up Serena when this happens, so he’ll make a cup of coffee and sit on the balcony and watch the sunrise, perhaps reading a book or listening to music with headphones. Sometimes Serena will also wake up early and join him, especially since she’s gotten good at noticing when he’s up early and waking when that happens. They like to spend the mornings together quietly, just enjoying the view over the city and each other’s company.
Who comforts who the most: Serena tends to comfort Calem more, since he is prone to having difficulties due to his anxiety and depression. She tries her best to find the best ways to help him whenever somethings upsetting or bothering him, whether it’s just being there with him or talking him through it. All the same, Calem does his best to be there whenever Serena needs comforting, since it’s only fair. He appreciates to no end how supportive she is, so he wants to be able to do the same for her.
The cuddler: Calem. He finds physical touch with people very grounding and loves being able to cuddle up with Serena, especially when they’re indoors together during some bad weather. Just curling up together under a blanket with a hot drink and a lighthearted movie is one of his all-time favorite things.
The big spoon: Serena, usually. Calem likes being hugged and held, so Serena often sleeps with him in her arms. It’s another one of those things that, according to their friends and family, falls under the ‘disgustingly adorable’ category of their interactions.

Ferriswheelshipping please! :D

How they first met: They first met in Accumula after Ghetsis’ rally! N was interested in interacting with Hilda as a trainer to ‘convert’ and Hilda thought N was a weird protester and just sort of indulged him since she tries to be respectful of all ideologies.
Where their first date was: Their first actual date was when the twins were about three years old. It was all very proper and set up in advance, since the two wanted to try out going on a date to see what it was like and if it felt right for them. They went out to a dinner and movie in Nimbasa, pretty ‘stereotypical’ date material.
When they had their first kiss: Well, technically, their first kiss was when they hooked up at Bianca’s Halloween party, but their first kiss while dating was right on the first date. N kissed Hilda during the credits of the movie, then immediately apologized for being forward, though Hilda didn’t mind and said she would be fine with going further once they got home or not, depending on what he wanted.
Who cooks: Hilda is the better cook, but N is usually the one home to do the cooking since their home is right above the pokémon shelter he mainly runs. His cooking is pretty good, but he tends to stick to the recipe by the letter, rather than getting more creative like Hilda does. Once the kids are older, however, Euphie usually cooks, since he’s quite the skilled chef.
Who proposed: Hilda proposed! Her mom and the twins helped her set the whole thing up, from choosing a ring to finding the perfect location. At this point, she knew N would say yes, so it was all about the celebration. After he accepted her proposal, the twins burst out of hiding and, though they were meant to give bouquets to the happy couple, ended up throwing the flowers on them instead. It was all pretty hilarious. They had a small party in Nuvema at Hilda’s childhood home afterwards.
The dominate one: Hilda is more consistently dominant, but N can easily be more dominant than her when he wants to be, though he tends to be more flexible.
Their favorite pastime together: Working at the pokémon shelter together is a favorite. Hilda is so busy with her Elite Four job that just unwinding by taking care of pokémon with her husband is something she looks forward to. As for more romantic pastimes, while they don’t live there, if they have the time, they like to go to Nimbasa to visit the amusement park – especially the ferris wheel, of course.
Who kissed who first: N! Both during their one-night-stand and when they started dating.
Who is the flirt: Neither, actually. They are not a super flirty couple and prefer to show their affection through smaller, non-verbal displays.
Who is the romantic: N, usually. Hilda can be a bit stiff and formal at times, especially when she’s tired after work, so N likes to help her unwind by pampering her and showering her with romantic gestures. He gets really into the idea of romance and the like so getting her flowers and setting up cute dates is a hobby for him.
Who wakes up first: They tend to wake up at the same time, typically. Hilda is perhaps a bit more of an early riser, but a good amount of the time, N will wake up before her. It really depends on the day. Both of them kind of like to watch the other sleep though, if they wake up first. It’s comforting seeing their spouse so at ease.
Who comforts who the most: Hilda usually comforts N more, simply because N has had the more upsetting life. She’s gotten tuned in to the things that can cause him to panic or react negatively as a result of Ghetsis and Team Plasma and how to help him in those situations. That being said, N also knows that Hilda tends to internalize her own problems and hates when she takes care of him but not herself. As a result, he’s also gotten good on picking up when Hilda is bothered by something, and knows just what to do to help her feel better or just provide a shoulder to lean on.
The cuddler: N tends to be more physically affectionate, often curling up to Hilda like a cat, but his wife has her moments as well. The two aren’t super big on PDA though, nor physical affection in general, so most of their cuddling is when they’re at home alone and sitting together or in bed.
The big spoon: They switch! N is taller, so he often will be the big spoon, but then Hilda will complain he’s too bony and his elbow is poking into her so she’ll demand to be the big spoon instead. Either way, even if they start off spooning it doesn’t last long, since it’s not really either of their preferred cuddling position.

Maddie for B5, if that’s okay?

Madrigal Sophia Aretha Harmonia Montfort, or Maddie as she’s more commonly known, is the daughter and oldest child of Rosa and Curtis Montfort. She has a younger brother named Aster (who is a little troll) and is also the cousin of Euphie, Tipha, Oliver, and Elliot (second cousin to Eban and Avoria). Maddie is a determined and ambitious young woman, who can sometimes be seen as a bit too serious or uncompromising, focusing on her goals above all else and occasionally unintentionally hurting others on her way to the top. Maddie’s dream is to one day be Unova Champion and she can suffer a bit of tunnel vision in pursuit of that goal. She can also be prone to anger and control issues, losing her temper when her plans go awry and trying to get people to behave the way she wants. Despite this, her intentions are good and she honestly doesn’t want to come across as too controlling – she just has trouble expressing her desires. She has been unfavorably compared to her grandfather, Ghetsis, before, which is the absolute last thing she wants, so she tries to distance herself from that image at all costs. While she is adamant about avoiding ‘distractions’ like hobbies, her best friend Mindy always drags her into things, especially idol related things, which Maddie claims to hate with a passion. All the same, she doesn’t complain too much when Mindy convinces her to perform in a duet with her. She certainly has a playful side as well, being prone to snarky comments and deadpan humor, which can come as a surprise to those who only know the serious, no-nonsense side of her. That being said, Maddie is also very protective and close with her family, even if she’s a bit awkward about expressing it.
