Anthea & Colress’s twins! Born after a fling, they’re separated as babies and raised on opposites sides of the world by one of their parents. Despite this, each of them has had strange dreams of a mysterious other nearly their whole lives… two halves yearning for a whole.

Adrasteia “Addie” (she/her) on the right is raised by Anthea, mainly in Unova, but traveling the world a bit as well. Despite her calm and demure appearance, she’s ruled by her emotional whims and can hold a mean grudge.

Ananke (they/them) on the left, on the other hand, is raised by Colress, mainly in Alola, but also traveling around on occasion. Stoic and methodical, they won’t stop at anything once they set their mind to it, to the point of tunnel vision.

Some preliminary designs for Anabel & Thorton’s (and Dulse’s) family!

Carola (left) is Dulse/Anabel/Thorton but is primarily raised by Dulse and considers her other two parents more like an aunt & uncle. Growing up mainly in Ultra Megalopolis, but exposed to Earth culture from a young age, she has a love of the other world’s media, especially video games, as well as pokémon.

Cardea (right) is Anabel/Thorton’s daughter, born when the two of them are around 40. Anabel uses her maternity leave as an easing out for Interpol, fully retiring when Cardi is a toddler. She then becomes the Sinnoh Battle Frontier’s manager (not unlike Scott’s job). Cardea grew up entirely in Sinnoh and loves the outdoors, giving guided hikes of Mt. Coronet in the summer and working Search & Rescue for the mountain in the winter alongside her Skarmory. She’s seen some things…

I just realized I never posted my original Paldea fankid drawings here whoops. Better late than never!

Isavella you already met during fankidtober – she’s Giacomo & Arven’s older daughter who’s a dark academia girlie obsessed with gothic literature and true crime from 200 years ago.

Pip is Isavella’s younger sister and a Cyclizar racer! She gets scolded for letting her lizard onto the couch pretty regularly. And for tracking mud into the house. She’s very rough and tumble and loves the outdoors and action.

Sliva and Momo are my Grusha/OC kiddos (their other father, Ringo, is an artist from Hoenn who was formerly Grusha’s snowboarding rival and later enrolled in Naranja Academy. He’s also related to Crispin somehow still working on that.)

Sliva is an aspiring musician and Giacomo fanboy as well as a mall goth. He struggles with a bit of an inferiority complex, channeling his angst through his music and nighcore remixes. He met and became Isavella’s best friend through of all things a ballroom dancing class they both ended up in.

Momo is a figure skater and prototypical mean girl on the ice. Loves everything cute and pink but will also beat you up. She’s one of those child sport prodigies who let the attention and pressure go to her head and became insufferable as a result.

Fankidtober Day 29: Allegra “Allie” Joy

The daughter of Kenny and Marnie Joy (one of the young Joys from that Sinnoh episode w/ the Suicune and Drifloon), who met in pokémon medical school (where Kenny was training to become a pokémon doctor). Unlike her parents and extended family, however, Allie Joy wants to follow in her Grandpa Karsten’s footsteps and become an electrical engineer. In her eyes, she’s still following the Joy motto of healing… just for machines instead of pokémon or people! Regardless of her own convictions, she still gets a lot of surprise and stubbornness from others who are confused why a Joy would go into anything but medicine (despite there being other examples like her who don’t), so has developed a bit of a standoffish personality as a result. At least her own immediate family and friends are supportive!

Fankidtober Day 28: Adrian Hanamizu

Misty & Brock’s youngest son, but born after the divorce and raised primarily by Misty in Pallet Town (while Brock has primary custody of his two older brothers). Growing up in a seaside town and with Misty as his (mainly) single parent, he grew to love the sea as much as her. A desire to protect it and water type pokémon led to him enrolling in Ranger School, before being placed as an Area Ranger in Fall City, Fiore. He can usually be found patrolling the Safra Sea alongside his partner, Lanturn!

Fankidtober Day 27: Lewis von Aue

The middle of the (Siebold/Cress)/Jasmine kids, though he’s raised mainly by Siebold, with his other two parents living in Johto and visiting on holidays. He’s probably my most Volo-adjacent fankid personality-wise who isn’t related to the guy himself, though thankfully he has the benefit of a supportive family and modern therapy to help him through the roughest patches. That said, he’s still struggling a lot to figure out his place in the world and what he wants to do and be, so is a bit of a jack of all trades as a result. He’s recently begun considering music as a long-term career though, especially performing in unusual places (circuses, festivals, etc). He doesn’t battle much, so most people assume his Key Stone is for the partner he’s usually seen with – Lopunny – but it’s actually for his actual starter, Banette, who he still has a bit of a complex over (doesn’t fit the image he wants to portray etc etc).

Fankidtober Day 26: Forsyth Woodward

Milo & Avery’s youngest, he’s got that bright-eyed adventurer’s spirit. His energy is very much ‘farmboy protagonist just waiting for his call to the hero’s journey’, which is fitting considering he’s the reincarnation of one of Galar’s hero kings from the first Darkest Day (the other being Victor & Gloria’s father). Of course, he’s living in more peaceful times now, so most of his adventures are just exploring the Wild Area with his wilderness group. (And avoiding his estranged extended family who are interested in him for his fairly strong psychic powers that he himself has zero interest in cultivating.)

Fankidtober Day 25: Harvest Karjala

Harvest is Autumn & Brock’s daughter from a brief fling, though her mother has full custody. Growing up on the farm with her mom and aunts, she helped out at the café, but her true passion was caring for the farm pokémon, which led to her decision to become a pokémon groomer. She ends up traveling all the way to Lumiose to follow her dreams, landing an apprenticeship with Jessica (a cotd furfrou groomer). The big city is a lot different from her hometown, and a lot is overwhelming, but she’s going to do her best to provide great beauty service to all the pokémon who come by the salon!

Fankidtober Day 24: Isavella Anastasi Wattiez

Isavella is Arven & Giacomo’s elder daughter and the archetypical Dark Academia Girlie™️ who loves a good mystery and dreams of cursed manuscripts. She can be a bit overdramatic but it’s all in service of the aesthetic.

Fankidtober Day 23: Raphael Fiedler-Campbell

Ever since I decided Damon and Perrin were part of the extended Tobias & Pierce Family I’ve wanted to play around with multicolored hair in the same vein for Rapha… something something the genetics of the family mean dark blue hair + blonde/lighter hair = multicolored gradient. Rapha is an iconic blond anime villain though, so I went with the opposite color direction for his hair!
