Fankid Week Day 1!
(Have not finished anything else yet so we’ll see if my current WIP is done in time to post (gasp) two artworks this week, but tbh even getting this one piece done I’m super proud of!)
This one fills both prompts, and is a reminder to myself that my main cast all started out their journeys as 12/13yos and not the 18/19yos i usually draw them as.
I’ve barely watched Horizons but AmeLiko still has me by the throat so take a lil gremlin.
Their name is Lazuri (or often Laz for short)! (Any pronouns) The vibes are bard but the D&D type. The type of kid who’d set the kitchen on fire trying to make a bowl of cereal and just be calmly eating it amid the blaze. I think she’s some kind of collector of stories, traveling the world gathering myths and legends, hoping to write an illustrated storybook one day. Laz would be the protag of a slice of life episodic series where they visit a different remote town each week to listen to the stories of the people there and end up involved in some sort of local drama involving cryptids/monsters/wormholes/etc (he’s a supernatural/weird lodestone).
Fankidtober Day 19: Norine!
Short for Honorine, she’s Tierno & Trevor’s oldest daughter and a Connaisseuse! Known for her constant serenity even when working with large, aggressive pokémon, Norine was able to quickly rise in the ranks of Kalos’s PCA, becoming well known even in Unova (who’s Connoisseurs are notoriosly close-ranked and haughty towards their counterparts in other regions).
What is less known about Norine, though, is that she’s also a cult favorite mystery author under a penname! She draws on her job as well as stories from her close friend (and Emma’s daughter) Arlette to weave chilling and nail biting tales of murder and mayhem.
Fankidtober Day 18: Bertie
He’s come so far from his initial concept… he has two and a half boyfriends now (Darcel only half counts what they have is much more weird than dating).
This is very silly but this is the point we’re at in the month ok.
Fankidtober Day 17: Electric-type Gym Leader Osmund!
Similarly to Theo, I rolled him last month, so I decided to also envision what his future self would look like. Of course… the two have very different styles!
Fankidtober Day 16: Blair! Blair! Blair! Blair!
Day 15: Two Rosa fankids, both alike in overpowering celebrity aura dignity…
(I rolled one of the last night, then promptly forgot which one overnight, so you get both of Rosa’s daughters instead!)
Day 14: Leo! (RIP buddy)
The daily struggle of having a starter who seems to hate your guts…
(Leo has yet to realize that what sets Prinplup off is when he acts completely obnoxious and a know it all, generally being a nuisance.)
