After debating it with myself for a while, I’m going to be adjusting the date system for this verse (again). Nothing too fancy, just a 29xx & 30xx rather than 19xx & 20xx system so it keeps in line better with my lore about there being a big apocalyptic event 3000 years ago or so (not the Kalos war that happened more like 2700 years ago for this verse). I’ll be (slowly) updating all the profiles age pages to reflect this, but hopefully the similarity to our current calendar (just off by 1000 years) will still make the dates easy to understand!

I’ve been dead for a bit sorry whoops. Just been distracted with other projects, but dropping with some name changes.
Nerissa Tamamushi (Erika/Valerie) –> Youko Tamamushi (Written as 妖子, 妖 is part of the word for both yokai and yosei so has that kind of “fairy, mysterious” vibe for a goth girl like her rather than the vague sort of sea nymph meaning of Nerissa that just doesn’t suit her.)
Urania Citrano (Mars) –> Nerina Citrano (I finally caved and felt bad for giving her the name after the planet with all the rude puns. So she’s Commander Neptune now. Nerina has a similar look and also has a water-related meaning so works well for her. Good in contrast to the “fiery, red, fierce” Mars as well.)
Alma Drakonova (Cynthia/Diantha) –> Cressida Drakonova (Just good vibes on this one honestly. The name just feels very Cynthia for me, probably because it resembles Cresselia and Cynthia reminds me of Cresselia and also it means “golden” and Cynthia (and her eldest daughter) are blonde… good vibes. It sounds really nice with Églantine as well.)
The last one is just a nickname change but Trevor and Emma’s oldest daughter, Elinor, now goes by Nora rather than Elly.
Finally… a new fankid! I felt like Trip and Virgil would want another kid, after thinking about it, so I looked up Thunderbirds characters again and decided on Scott for the name of Penelope’s younger brother. He’s in a traveling duo with Hallie and the two are like Jr. Detectives, very cute and wholesome compared to Penelope and Hymnia’s much darker take on “young detectives”.
Little Update!
Lance’s eldest daughter, Noelle, was now adopted, rather than being the daughter of Lance and his late wife. Him being previously married just wasn’t working for me as his story developed, so now Noelle was an orphan who he took in and raised as a single father. Her story from that point is the same aka she dies young and there’s an adult faller version of her, just her backstory and relationship to Lance is different.
Tokio finally got a dub name (Horace) which means I can finally reveal something that’s been brewing for a while.
I fell in love with the idea of Goh/Gary while working on Jay’s story, but then fanart and talks with friends made me fall in love with Goh/Horace, so as I usually do I just compromised by making an ot3 relationship. Goh/Gary are married, but Horace is also there, and a very important part of their relationship to both of them and their kids.
Yeah that’s right. Kids. Because I gave them two more after Jay. Goh/Horace have a son 5 years younger than Jay named Timothy (a pun on “time” originating with my own speculation on what Horace’s dub name might be haha). He’s on the sickly side and stays with his dads to help their research rather than travel. Finally, Gary/Horace have a daughter name Lacey, who was named after her great-grandmother (Prof. Oak’s late wife). She’s a tomboy trainer who’s very energetic and a bit reckless. She likes to try and help out the rest of her family by catching rare pokémon… but most of the pokémon she catches aren’t actually all that rare. She’s doing their best though!

After thinking about it, I figured that Chase would be a better Red parallel if he was with Trace and Elaine would be a better Leaf parallel if she got involved with Team Rocket, so I just switched their ships (to Chase/Trace with Raine and Scout and Elaine/Mondo with Hunter). Nothing else has changed though since the families weren’t super duper developed yet. Same kids, same story for the parents.
Made a couple name changes that might or might not stick around, we’ll see.
Rhion –> Rian: Just making the spelling on this one a bit more standard. Still from the name meaning “little king” and the Rhionaeschna genus of dragonflies. If Aaron can come from “arachnid” then Rian can come from Rhionaeschna.
Trias –> Tristan “Tris”: Another case of me feeling weird about names that aren’t “real”. Tris is close enough to Trias that the meaning still works, and I feel like these two names are more in line with Tate & Liza. Also Tris is the emo twin so he gets the sad name.
Lucine –> Églantine: Since I cut Camille ages ago Cynthia/Diantha have been missing a French-named kid which is sad so I had to change that. Églantine is just cute and kinda nerdy so it suits her.
And then here’s the big one since it’s a more major kid, but I realized Echter is not a proper plant name, like I had wanted for all the Alola kids, so he’s now been renamed Erik after the Erica genus of plants (heath and heather).
I’ve been rewatching some of the anime recently (mainly DP) and have come to the realization that it’s a Crime for me to have Ash and other anime characters in this verse and not Gary, even if I already have Green. So my tentative workaround right now is adding Gary as Green’s older brother (so he’s the middle child of the Oak family.) He’s of course Ash’s childhood rival and the two probably dated at some point since PalletShipping Is Good, but my endgame idea for him is maybe to pair him with Goh? So he’s maybe Jay’s stepfather and works at the Vermillion lab, while Green is in Pallet and they’re rival researchers or something. Ash’s exes get together it’s fun. Green and Red are of course still rivals and if their rivalry was similar to Gary and Ash’s … well that’s how it is sometimes. I think Gary and Green are different enough it could work. This might change, but it’s something I’m trying out so if you see Gary listed on the blog that’s why.
Added some fankid ships to my directory.
This is definitely not all of them, but it’s all the ones I’ve come up with ship names for.
I gave Bede/Victor another kid because I just felt like they need a big family. So there’s a baby son called Reynard who’s born around when Ambrose is setting out on his journey. So he’s just the cute baby for the most part during any plot significant events.
His starter, when he gets one, is a Nickit, obviously.
EDIT: Because 4 kids still didn’t feel like enough they got MORE. They’re going to be the biggest family it’s what they deserve. There’s now three more kids hahahaha. Edwin & Oswald are twins born about three years after Robin. And then Cordelia is adopted as a baby about two years after the twins are born. (And then Isidore is adopted another two years after that.)
There’s also probably an 8th baby born after Reynard but that’s post-Main Plot so not going to think about that yet.
This will probably be the last time I change any major ships but like I mentioned in the tags of my previous post I’ve decided to flip flop another protagonist ship. Like I switched around Red and Leaf’s families a while back, this time it’s Hilda and Hilbert’s. So now Hilda and Albin are married with Bertie and Maela, and Hilbert and N are married with Euphie, Tipha, and Oliver. Originally this started a while ago as a what if scenario but then I got really attached to how these pairings worked with these fankids in this AU so I guess it’s canon now whoops. I’ll go back and change any relevant posts, but that’s all for now!
