Notes:
- Roland stayed in Kalos with Wikstrom when his parents divorced, and so grew up surrounded by the ideals of knighthood and tradition. He loves learning about Kalos’s history and how life was lived back then, incorporating it into his daily life the same way Wikstrom wears armor around.
- Roland is a professional historical reenactor, working primarily as an in-character tour guide at the Parfum Palace. He’s also a regular at Ren Fairs and the like, where he shows off his combat skills in tournaments and jousting (he also does combat demonstrations at the Palace!)
- Roland is very enthusiastic and eager, always happy to talk at length about his passions of medieval combat and knighthood. His partner Sirfetch’d is equally passionate so the duo can be quite overwhelming sometimes! That said, these traits make Roland excel as a tour guide, especially when giving tours to younger audiences, where his big-brother aura also shines.
- His design draws inspiration from the Fighter class in RPGs, the same way Melchior is meant to resemble a Cleric or Monk and Isabeau is (in theory since she hasn’t been designed yet) meant to resemble a Mage.
